Calling all Farmgirls in the Sisterhood!!
This swap is for anyone that's a member of the Farmgirl Sisterhood. You don't have to be a member of a Chapter to participate.
I would like to start collecting Sisterhood Numbers from other farmgirls.
We set our own deadlines with one another on a "one on one" basis so you're not pressured for completion of a bunch of things all at once! After New Year's we can start swapping and I'll get with each of you to set individual deadlines.
So remember this is a "one on one" swap...if you would like to swap numbers with me please reply on this topic and I'll add you to my list at the initial post on this topic.
Feel free to swap with other farmgirls that are also swapping with me then contact them to set up your own deadlines. You can use this topic to keep track of who you are swapping with.
For me...you can hand embroider or machine embroider, use fabric pens, gel pins, use paper, felt, wool fabric, woven fabric or a mixture thereof. I'll be making wall hangings from all of mine so you don't have to worry with the foundation being washable.
I think a size 6x6 inch is plenty big enough...You don't have to put anything other than your number but you can add your screenname and state if you'd like to. Just the number is fine!
I'm not picky....make it unique and about YOU! I will love whatever I recieve!
If you don't have time or don't sew then just draw your number and whatever else you want on it and I'll do the embroidery once I receive it.
Please let me know if you would like a different size back then what I am asking for and if you want it on white, tea dye or if any fabric choice is ok..
Have a great day, Stephanie Farmgirl Sister #22

Stephanie- Put my name on this list for sure!! Should all my patches be the same? And what other specifics should I know?

I wouldn't mind, but let's make sure the deadline is after New year. It's so hard to comprehend all the things I have to do right now (and everyone else, I'm sure!!!)
Sounds like a great idea, though!

Autumn, Jonni and Amy,
Oh goodie!! Yes, definitely after the New Year so we can kind of settle into the new groove for the year..LOL
I would like 6x6 inch patches...just leave at least a 1/2" seam allowance is you are adding more than your numbers.
You can do this on any fabric you choose, any color thread, anyway you choose. It can just be your Farmgirl number or you can also add your screenname and state if you want to.
This way every patch I receive will be unique and they will really look like a patchwork when I start sewing them together.
I'm adding y'all to my list and then after New Year's we can decide on a deadline that works for each of you.
And by the way if one of you farmgirl sisters that doesn't sew wants to swap then just use gel pens, paints, stamps, etc. on a piece of fabric. That way I can collect from all the sisters.
I'll be talkin to ya, Stephanie Farmgirl Sister #22

You are signing on to swap your number with me (queenofdreamsz4u). If you want to swap you number with other farmgirls please setup your own deadlines..that way we don't all have one deadline and a zillion patches to have ready at the same time
You can use this topic to keep track of everyone you are swapping with.
Hope that made sense..

Tasha, That's why I said to make your own contacts like I am. You can have swaps going on all along with whoever you contact..it's really quite simple and you'll wind up with many patches.
Everyone that is swapping with me will probably like to swap with one another too. Sorry for the confusion..It's really quite simple.
I guess I'm just the opposite of lots of others. I don't like having a demand to produce large numbers of the same thing with the same deadline. Takes the pleasure and joy out of it for me since I have so many other things going on.
If anyone else doesn't understand the "one on one" concept please let me know. And I also figure any amount of patches that I accumulate are special and will be used on anything from a sachet to a wallhanging So Tasha I hope you will reconsider swapping with me.

yay. Ok, Stephanie, just so I get clarification for my little self, I am sending my patch to you :) and, it's a patch or a "quilted" patch? Just so I know what to do, and to do it right. J

Hey Kathy,
That sounds great...now if you want to I can rename this topic to include everyone that has "one on one" number swaps going on...then we will all be under one topic and easy to find. Sunshine uses this method with her signature block swaps and everyone uses the same topic to keep up with their individual swaps..seems to work well.
You can let me know though. I just want to help keep it easy for us.
Talk to ya soon, Stephanie Farmgirl Sister #22

Just wanted to say a big THANKS for signing up to swap numbers with me....
Anyone else wanting to start their "one on one" number swaps come on over and post what you'd like to do.
I'm hoping I'll be on my way to a crazy quilt type of wall hanging!
Thanks again, Stephanie Farmgirl Sister #22

We have 2 threads regarding 1 on 1 swaps and 1 thread on a group swap going.
Is there a way to have one thread with all names & info on it who want to do a 1 on 1 swap and then another thread for those who want to do group swaps?
Maybe it's just me being on overload, but to have everyone in one location would be so much easier. Specifics for sizing, etc. could then be given by each sister.

Hey Vanessa,
If you would like to start a one on one number swap reply on this topic as to what you would like to receive and the the one's interested will reply back to you on this same topic then you can edit your post to add the names of those that are going to swap with you and what your deadline for each person will be.
I've made the suggestion to combine all the "one on one's" under this topic so feel free to add yours if you'd like to.
It's up to the individual to keep everything under this one topic. There is just one topic right now for a group number swap, I think..
Hope you will add your info here

Hi Stephanie,
Yes, I'd like to swap with you.
And for all sisters, if any of you would like to swap with me, please let me know. I see a wall hanging in my future too.
Size:6x6 (1/2" seam allowance)
Medium: (like Stephanie) whatever works for you:embroidery, paint, etc...
Deadline: None, just when you get them done. You can email me through here and then I'll send you my address.
Well, I think I did that right, Stephanie~LOL. I'm super tired, am leaving town tomorrow and just about Christmased (is that a word???) out at this point.

Me (queenofdreamsz4u) and Vanessa (beachgirl) are using this topic so far to keep up with our one on one number swaps.
Please feel free to jump into this topic if you too would like to start collecting Sisterhood Numbers from other members.
We look forward to more sisters that want to swap with us!
Have a great day, Stephanie & Vanessa
