I put everyone's name in a bowl and drew two at a time to match up partners. We do have an odd number of swappers so I have left myself without a partner. Hopefully we'll get one more person that wants to so sign up. Please contact your partner by email to exchange addresses. The guidelines are below in red.

Here are the partners:

GUIDELINES

Packages will need to be mailed to your partner so they receive them by February 28th. If, for any reason, you find that you're not able to participate please let me know so I can match your partner with someone else.

You can send at least one dishcloth and the pattern (optional) to your partner and any other little goodie that you want to put with it. But only one dishcloth is required for the swap.

I'd be interested in participating after the 1st of the year...will this count toward one of the badges? I have just learned to crochet and one of the projects I've been wanting to attempt is a dishcloth. Someone here on the forums sells crocheted dishcloths, but said she was behind on her orders, so wouldn't be taking any for some time. I haven't done a swap before and I don't want to be overwhelmed @ my first attempt, but please count me in as a one-to-one swap partner.

I'd be interested. Someone did one last year so you may search the threads to see what the guidlines were.

Chandra I think as long as you start AFTER you applied for Sisterhood you are good to go. I've already started on Know your Food!

Thanks Julie...yep, I'm #64; just getting started with the crochet. I've been practicing stitches and when I find the right thread/string will attempt my 1st dishcloth. How fun...like "Girl-Scouts", but better somehow.

Yes, this sounds good - something to work on after the Christmas rush. Maybe I'll get exceited and start working on Christmas projects early next year! (Maybe I'll give everyone a dishcloth in '08!)

Sign me up!

add me to this one too... once i get the christmas stuff out of the way, i'll need some small " filler projects " to do between doing the baby stuff that i usually make.

This will definitely be an after Christmas swap. Maybe we could make it by Valentine's Day? I will make it a one-on-one swap and will pair up swap partners after the first of the year. They can either be knitted or crocheted. This is going to be such fun!

I'm in for a dishcloth swap. I love making them. It's like a knitting quick-fix, they go so fast.
You know, I have yet to use the ones from the last swap. They are just too pretty. :)

I'm ready with one completed dishcloth...my very first crochet project! I used the pattern from MJ's lifebook but sc'd into the front stitch instead of under both stitches so it's a loose rendition. My DH is quite impressed. I'm in the process of using the stitch taught in MJ's lifebook (the sc under both strands stitch) for a floor mat in our bathroom & DH is looking forward to using that. WOW, crochet is addictive! I love it, the texture, (I used mercerized cotton) the rhythym/motion is soothing & comforting and it's so fulfilling when a project is completed.
I'm wondering if one dishcloth is enough or if the swap is for multiple dishcloths. I need to get more of the mercerized cotton and get busy if it's for multiples. Please let us know what the guidelines are! Looking forward to a swap!

I'm very still interested, but.....

Now I am packing up to move back to VA (leaving here on Feb. 2nd) so January has become the pack up month (we have 3000 books plus a house full of stuff) and February will be the unpack month. Although I'd like to say I'll get a dishcloth done this month, I have to be realistic and know that it's on the back burner for the moment. Is there a deadline to finish for this?
