I am new here and wanted to say hi. I have raised or rescued a fair number of different types of animals so I figure I may be hanging out here the most! Currently I have just a goats, 3 horses (plus a foal due this spring) 3 dogs and a cat. This is the fewest number of animals you've had in years!

I am an artist so now I get my animal fix by painting them! :) I am fairly certain I will always at least have horses. Maybe just minis though when I get to be about 80. :)

Welcome Sue!! My gosh..your art is just beautiful!!! I adore the red barn painting! I sort of collect red barn paintings...3 is a collection, right?? They just really appeal to me. I will have to save up and have a portrait painted of my jersey cow Mona. She is the best cow ever and it sure sounds like you are the gal to paint her!!!
I am glad you found us...you are going to fit right in here!!

I love red barns too. I have a whole pile of slate that I want to use to paint barns on. And I do like very much to paint cows. :) Jerseys are one my favorite with their big brown eyes and dished faces.

Its nice to meet you Aunt Jenny. This looks like a fun place!

Hi Sue! I'm also planning to start a rescue one day, too. Your art is awesome, lady! :)

Thank you for the warm welcome.

I wish you well with your rescue, Farmtopia. I have really enjoyed being able to be a part in the rescues I've had although I never formally organized my farm as a 'rescue' farm.

Its nice to see some horse people here too. :) I'll have to check out your web site miraclewelsh. I love welsh ponies!

miraclewelsh,

Your ponies are to die for! Oh so beautiful! The babies are awesome. Do you take your own photos? If so you've done a beautiful job!

If you ever decide you'd like a painting of one let me know. Maybe we could work something out in exchange for permission to use some of your photos. I would list your farm and contact information on web site under the painting so you get credit for it.

Thanks, Sue! The photography on our website was done by my son, Dan, who is a professional photographer. I love the photos that he takes of the ponies for me. :-)

It would be exciting to have a painting done sometime, I'll mention it to Dan!

Thanks for your kind offer and your kind words as well. :-)
