It's a little over 3 weeks until my husband arrives, so that means a little over 3 weeks to get his sweater finished and I only have a couple of hours free each night! I'm beginning to get worried that I won't finish.
Anyone else up against a tight deadline?

Oh yes! I am. But, I'm not knitting a sweater, just a bunch of "little" projects like scarves, hats, etc....and then I keep printing knitting projects out like I have all the time in the world! Funny.
My favorite knitting guru, Giselle, at my knitting store, said it's not uncommon for her to give someone a beautifully wrapped box with 2 sleeves and a front and back in it, with a little note that says, "If you're impressed now, imagine what it will look like when it's put together!!!" That makes me laugh!!!
I am wishing you much success with your free time and if you don't get it done, he will STILL love it, guaranteed.

Yes, yes, yes! But what gets done, gets done. I have a very forgiving family that understands the time constraints of a busy woman. I bet you do as well!

I've got a GINORMOUS list to finish...
- a felted bag for my sister's birthday (9th) - four felted phone cozies - one lacy shawl for my mom - one Waldorf baby for my youngest - one tiny doll (3 inches) for my oldest - three scarves - one hat (optional) - bean bags (youngest again) - walking blocks for both girls (husband's job) - balance beam for oldest (husband, again)
That's all I can think of now. THEN I can get back to the sweater for me!

I have one scarve to finish, one to make, and a pair of socks to finish. Already crocheted 5 shopping bags. I don't have alot of time anymore, and have a problem of sitting down to knit, and about falling asleep !!! I need help from the knitting fairy.
Happy knitting Michele |

PHEEEEEW! I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one. I like the idea of just wrapping it up at whatever stage it reaches with the little note inside, it's really sweet! I made some rather good progress last night, so if all goes to plan I should hopefully get it done in the nick of time ![](icons/icon_smile.gif)

I'm trying to get a scarf done for my daughter, but she's always around! I had to ask my friend's mom to make mittens for her, and she had them done in 3 days! Oh, I wish I had that kind of time! And, she won't take any money from me, so I'm going to give her some handmade soaps for a thank-you.
I like that idea about the note if it's not finished--hopefully I won't need it! (I'm halfway there)

add me to the list of "I've got a gazillion projrcts to complete before Christmas" club! lol! I think I have hit the "I'm overwhelmed wall". I am usually so disaplined and don't tackle more than I can handle but for some reason this year I just over committed. In fact I was just talking with my neighbor across the road & she too is up to her eyeballs in projects and not sure where to begin let alone finish! So are we having fun yet???? lol!

I thought I'd jump right in here and tell you this Christmas is a busy time for the handcrafters with all the toys going awry from China. I am up to my eyeballs in monkey's I'm knitting, baby sweaters, gowns, booties and hats. Just went to our local Jo Anns and Fiber Nooks & Cranny's Specialty yarn shop and bought tons more yarn and a beautiful basket hand made from Ghana. They are so pretty. Spent a ton of green but it was so much fun. Have been having a great time meeting other knitters and the like when I stand like a deer hunter in the yarn isle at these places.. Hugs to all, Pauline
