I will be thinking of you Ann. Lumbar punctures have come along way since we were young and are fairly quick and relatively painless now. Best wishes and a big hug for a positive outcome.

Ann, I've had two lp's with no adverse effects. Just listen to your doctor when he says to take it easy the day of the procedure, please do what he says. Good luck, you'll be in my thoughts.

You all are the best. Thanks so much! I have books by a downstairs bed, where I plan to stay flat for 12 hours (wish me luck ) and let Phil be my "servant". Generally he doesn't stay put in the house for more than 15 minutes at a time, so I'm also bringing an intercom device into the bedroom... he can run but he can't hide. HA!

I've had three spinals. All went well. I did stay flat on my back the rest of the day and night like I was told to do except for going to the bathroom of course and a slight recline for quick eating. Let someone baby you for awhile. Hope all goes well and answers are found.

Yippee-Yay! It's over, I behaved as directed for 24 hours and have made out fine. Thanks so much for the support, love, and prayers... all you farmgirl buddies. Big hugs to every one of you! I don't know when I'll hear about the results; one thing at a time.

Unfortunately I did get the spinal headache today. Called the dr. and was told to lie down again....which works wonders. Going to do that again, now...

Dang! Those headaches can be amazing - and not in a good way. I had one in college and it sure wasn't pleasant, but it DOES go away. STAY LYING DOWN!!!!! Use this as a VERY good excuse to be waited on hand and foot !
