Hey Mima!!! Hang in there..we love you!! I feel bad that we didn't get together while I was in Calif. I really was tied up with my kids that whole time and didn't have a spare minute. What bakery are you working at? Is it in SM??? I used to love the one in Orcutt...It was a German bakery I think..with a funny name but can't remember what it was..great bread! Take care and check in when you can!!

I know! I wanted to see you too! Im actually working in the Albertsons bakery!!!! Its just up the street from my house(remember the Bradley dip-have to walk up it to get to work!!!)I guess bakery is a misnomer-we bake but it consists of taking the frozen boxes of whatever and slapping it on the pan and then baking!!!! Anyone for "fresh frozen" bagels???? |

Part time? I'd say they are taking advantage. Things are moving along here in GA. Still watching over Dad and making sure he does not do something silly (like taking too much medication or trying to bend over, which always ends with him falling on his head.) We have set up Grampa (baby) monitors in the house, and I have one of the receivers at mine for when Mom is not home. On Thanksgiving I found out that the monitor mine receives from is in Dad's bathroom. (Thanks to my Evil Brother.) Oh, joy. Oh, rapture. I wondered why I heard water running when the faucet was off!!!!!!! Ew. It has now been moved. Hang in there, sweets. I barely have time to glance at what's happening on the farm myself. Sometimes that's just the way it is. Look for a bit of a cheer-up to come your way, though. love ya back-

I hate the way work takes control of life!! I have to remind myself every day that I work so that I can sew and live in this house and pay for college educations. It is good to see you Mima!! Hopefully you will have more time after the holidays!! |

Hey Deb, don't get over whelmed w/work, after all, the garden can wait, house cleaning can wait, etc., use your free time to enjoy your family, not to mention give a little pampering to yourself.
And now that I know Albertsons(and probably VONS & Safeway etc) little secrete, that they aren't baking from scratch,,,well geepers, overdosing on a loaf of fresh baked french bread just won't be the same, Oh I'll still overdose on it, just won't be the same... lol! I am such a glutton for that 5pm just out of the oven french bread that they (at least ours did) put by the check-out stands....I have been known to eat almost a 1/2 loaf by the time I got home! Any whoooo, miss ya too! hugz,

Oh Grace! I used to be a BIG fan of that bread too- eating a hot loaf on the way home from shopping! Now after having slapped numerous frozen logs onto a pan and know its been dropped and re-thawed etc-wouldn't touch it! I've been reading up on transfat too! Like 90% of grocery store products have them!!! Ack!So I buy some produce, hummus and soy milk and stick to the farmers market and Lassens!!!
