It's been a while, and with the summer we had (until last week), I didn't know if I would have any pods or not--but, alas, I went out yesterday and there they were, at least on the larger trees. Some of the others are "getting there", so I picked off what I could, and will let them dry.

I'd be glad to send them to whomever is still interested, otherwise, they're going in the garbage, because, well, I have enough Rose of Sharon's to last me for a lifetime!!!!

I would love some!! My neighbor from down the block is still walking his icky dog in our yard (it likes to attack other dogs) so a Rose of Sharon fence would be nice to start!!

Sure, Alee. I'll be cutting more in a few days, so I'll make sure to get some to you. Send me your address via email, won't you?

I've got some too, Alee. My white one with a red center put out pods, and so did the Bridal Bouquet. The Pink Satin put out a handful, too. I'm very surprised at the ones that DIDN'T put out any seed pods. I never really paid any attention to this whole 'seed' thing in regards to Rose of Sharon's before. I just let them do their own thing. They are just so great on their own. I think Carol Sue wanted some seeds, too.

Hi, Carol Sue. It's not Bev, it's me, Janice, the OTHER bee haven girl! LOL It's okay, though, I know all we Bee Haven sisters tend to look alike! ROFLOL! The seed pods are in mason jars in the trailer kitchen. I didn't make it out there this weekend - working on "Christmas-ing up" the booth. But I'll go out next weekend(four days off - YIPPEE!!) and pick up all my jars. Should I just leave the pods in their podlike state or pick them apart??? And how should I mail them? Wrapped in something and then in a padded envelope? I've never mailed seeds before. I've never even had anybody want seeds from me before.

Hey Janice--
I just bought some coin envelopes from the office store (I really didn't need 1800, but for $4.00, whatever :)), and I'm going to use those. I'm leaving mine in the pod state, and I'll put them inside a padded envelope. You can't crush the seeds, but I guess you can crush the pods. No biggee though.

If someone has more, I'd love some seeds. Just let me know how much, ok?
