I posted about these in the "Punched Tin Curtain" thread.

I found these in our barn and cleaned them up a bit (I like things to look rustic though) then hung them from hooks on each side of the window.

They're so cute at Christmas with tiny wreaths hanging from the loop!

Love it! I have to ask: What exactly is a "single tree"? What was the original purpose?

Here's what YourDictionary has to say:

a wooden bar swung at the center from a hitch on a plow, wagon, etc. and hooked at either end to the traces of a horse's harness

That is SO cute! I LOVE that idea! I have one of those and have been carting it around for years wondering what to do with it....now I know! Thank you for the wonderful idea and I have several of those horse collars also that I need to utilize. I love to decorate using "found" materials but unfortunately that has led me to being a pack rat also. Thanks again for the picture and idea....I guess that is the name of that thing that I've had....a single tree? I never knew what it was called. I'll try and take some pictures of things I have used to decorate around here and share them too.
