Hey There! I have had some awesome little parties this summer and figured that the ideas are good for summer, but can also be modified for any season.
1.)Flower Planting Party-- Bring your friends over to plant a friendship garden! You can each bring a handful of your favorite flower seeds and plant them with a label. That way, when they begin to grow you will know which friend gave you the flowers and you can think of them every time you tend the garden
2.)Recipe Swap-- You can invite your friends over for a swap. It helps (since food is such a large topic) to set themes for each party. For example, "crazy cakes" was one of ours. We brought over some of our favorite recipes and twists on old favorites (like the Devil's Angel-Food Cake...fluffy and chocolate)
3.)Pool-Side (or lake side) Mixer-- You can bring the kids! Bring your favorite tropical or good drinks to cool ya off and have a party complete with hot-dogs, hamburgers, and skewers. It is also great to bring a drink recipe that is "virgin" so your kids can drink the same drinks as the grown up sans alchol.
