I have officially declared this winter as one to complete ALL (yes all) of my UFO's . The only thing is , I can't figure out where to start!! I was wondering if anyone has ever done this and what was the best approach? I have 2 sweaters, a lap quilt, twin sized quilt , needle felting project(small sheep), partially completed cabled throw and many others!! Is it best to start big or small ...oh yeah I forgot to mention ...never have tried the actual quilting. Any advice?
Start with the ones that have the least work to do and work twords the most to do this way you will get more done. This way almost ones get done and finished. Then the ones that have lots to do either get done or almost there so next time they would be the ones you start with. With the quilting if you want it done supper quick and don't know how to and have the money pay someone else to finish them for you. They go away incomplete and come back done instant Finished UFO. You can also organize a quilting bee in your area every one can learn to quilt or have a few real good quilts come to teach those few who don't quilt also quick way to get that done too.
Small project make a travel kit with all the supplies you need to work on said project. And just keep it in the car with 1 project in it you will be amazed at how much will get done on that project.
Sunshine has good advice- I've done it. Each time I completed a UFO it inspired me to finish more. It suddenly seemed more "do-able". I am happy to say that I have very few of them these days because I repeat this process over and over. It makes you really productive in the end.Have fun with it! Blessings Autumn
