Hi ya'll, Onionhead here from good ol' Oklahoma. I have to tell ya I am loving this place.......so homey and comfy cozy feeling. It's nice to get togeter with spirits just like mine! Anyways, enough chitter-chatter.....I'm left handed and know just a teeny bit about knitting....I have the left handed how to book, but there's that knot at the end of each knit I can't quite figure out and looks so odd.....I know I'm not understanding the book right, but any advice for a left hander.....I know through words it might be hard to give advice, but it's worth a shot to ask! |

Hey Onionhead! I learned to knit this past year, and I'm a lefty, too. However, I think that I knit "continentally", that is, actually knitting with my right hand. I had to actually take a lesson--it really helped me to "see" it, and to have someone "show" my hands what to do. I bought the Stich and B**** book and though the instructions were easy to read, I found it very difficult to make my hands DO it. Good luck. I'm not sure what you mean when you say "knot", so I'm hesitant to offer any assistance :)

It sounds like you are knitting continental. Try this link for a demo:
