I've posted my Ma's 7-way dog cookie recipe on my blog. These are the treats I make up just about every week for our Sully. His favorite flavors are sweet potato and peanut butter, but he also likes cheese and apple cinnamon!

Thanks, Jenna! I can't wait to try the sweet potato on my guys (4)--of course, my lab will eat anything, but this is a great thing!

Thanks for sharing, my clan thanks you (and your momma!)

I am so tickled you posted this! I saw doggie/cat treat kits in one of the kid catalogs I get- I was going to figure out how to make the kit up myself (no sense spending $20 for each one)... now I can use the recipe you posted, as well as the one you linked (I think you did... I got there somehow from your blog) for cat treats (two new cats here now too).

I'm going to put the recipes, some cute cookie cutters (bone shapes, etc) with some sort of mix concoction or the recipes themselves in a little recipe book in the kit.

Thanks for the recipes!

Hi Jenna - I will try your dog treat recipe too. I love your blog! I have one corgi named Bagel - I have had three of them. They are great little dogs, comedians aren't they - Where did you get your corgi from? My best friend in Iowa raises them - she adores them too!

Kathy, there seem to be several of us corgi addicts around here! Sully is my second corgi and he came from the Lakeshore Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club's rescue. He is originally from WI, from a man who surrendered his backyard breeding pair. Sully has adjusted to living indoors, with heat and air conditioning and comfy sofas and fresh baked cookies quite nicely. :) Bagel is an adorable name!

Thanks, Jenna. I'm going to try this, too.

Bagel was a boarding dog with me - his mom traveled a lot, she only had him with her about three months out of the year. He bonded so well with all my dogs and me that when she wanted to fly him to Hong Kong (he had a terrible fear of ceiling fans when I got him and found out he had had a bad flight experience) that I suggested she just leave him with me permanently - and she did.
I had a lovely corgi named Emma Jean that I lost a day before her 7th birthday to a third degree heart block and I never quite got over the loss of her -
Bagel has taken over as king of the dogs since I lost my German Shepherd though and he is very protective of me - they are such human like little dogs and quite comical to watch their antics!
