Alladin is a Spanish Mustang, 4-5 years old. Part of a 30 horse rescue, or at least that's what the girl who's giving him to me remembers. She's his second home since being pulled from the abusive/neglect situation.

She's only had him since July and can't get a halter on him, although she can rub her hands on his body. He sounds (and looks) curious enough so I'm hoping it won't be too hard. He certainly needs groceries!

Awww Tracey, bless you for caring for him. What a sweet face he has. A diamond in the rough perhaps?

XOXO, Libbie

He's a stunner, Tracey! He seems small(ish)? Is that the angle of the photo, or are spanish mustangs smaller...he's almost demure looking, but very handsome...love that mane, and his color is pretty now, but with some tlc he's just gonna blow folks away!

You are a good lady--too bad the 4 horses that were taken from a boarding stable on Friday for neglect in this area, can't stay with you! Apparently the owner stopped paying stall rent, so the stable owner stopped feeding, watering and cleaning for over a month--the one has cushings disease now, and they don't know if he'll make it. They haven't been out of their filthy stalls, or fed or watered in over a month! Seriously, paid bills or no, I would have had to do something for them!!!

Jonni, that's just horrifying that anyone could do that, but I suppose if an owner can do it, a barn manager/owner can do it as well. Poor things. I hope they're able to press charges.

Alladin is supposed to be 15.2, but I've not see him in person yet so I don't know. I'd be surprised if he's that tall, but I do know that unless you bend down while taking a photo the horses tend to look smaller. Jet is 16 hands but sure doesn't look it in photos unless I position myself correctly.

Anyway, I' hope this boy's going to be as nice as his pics make him out to be. I've got a friend who lives closer to him going down this week to check him out, de-worm him and start getting some alfalfa pellets into him. His face reminds me a lot of Quiet Storm, not his color but his curiosity.

Thanks for the link, Winona. Wish there had been sound. If the weather holds this week I'm going to try to put a few more miles on Jet, which will make her a lot more useful around Sunny and Alladin.

I got packs on Sunny yesterday and am hoping my friend can come next week so we can pony her a bit. I think having her getting used to my being up high above her head is the secret.

Hey...are you going to be around during the Kiger adoption next month? I'm headed to Burns (bound and determined!)

Oh...the seizure...I'm still trying to track down all the info on that. Once I've got it, I'll post it to the rehab website.
