I found this last night while looking on craftster.org & thought I would share since so many are making yo-yo's for swaps & other projects .
I really like the zig-zag blanket.

Thanks, Kelly, for the link! I love the crocheted 'yo-yos'. They would make great little flowers on gift tags, cards, etc., don't you think? And wonderful afghans, too. Lovely!

I had forgotten about that shawl sunshine, it's so pretty. I haven't tried making the sewn fabric one's yet, but I did see your tutorial on them and the other link for them on another post. Seems easy, but I just haven't had a chance. It's been a long time since I have sewn anything by hand, & I am not too swift on the sewing machine yet. I like the idea that both the crochet one & the sewing one are things that can be taken on the go. I'm not home often, so I like to have things to do. I am a multi-tasker (fidgeter if you like). My mom always said I could never sit still.
That's a great idea too katie-ell, I didn't think of using them as embellishments on other things. Hair bands, belts, scarves, I guess pretty much anything

I'm with you, Kay!! I can already see projects floating in my brain. That is always a dangerous prospect. :)

Oh...I love to crochet! How I wish I could multiply myself and watch all these wonderful creations get made!! LOL If I could just figure out how to get by with no sleep (and still function) that would be a great help.

I feel a new project coming on. Aren't those so very pretty?

That's a really good idea. You know how you do a "scrap" project but you have to buy some yarn to finish it? (At least I do.) This would be a way to REALLY use up my scraps...cool! Thanks.

While looking back at this site, this link was on there as well
http://members.aol.com/crochetalong/projects.html
It has directions for clothesline crochet. You crochet around clothesline & can make baskets & rugs with it. Pretty interesting & would help make it more sturdy. It also has some directions for other things as well.
