Any successful bakers of this persnickety bread out there? I found a good recipe but I need some ideas on keeping the starter warm for 24 hours. I don't have a hot water tank accessible and my stove is electric, not gas. I tried keeping the bowl warm by surrounding it with warm water in my crockpot, but the results were only so-so. Any ideas would be appreciated because I love this bread!
Thanks,

Alee

What about putting it on a heating pad?

Yeah, that might do the trick. I don't suppose leaving the heating pad on that long would be a fire hazard. I could put it on top of potholders or something first to keep the heat radiating toward the starter. Thanks for the idea.
