A while back I read Louis L'mour's book "Education of a Wandering Man' and in it he referenced another book that had ALL the answers from how seconds, minutes and hours were figured out to how clocks were made to the firmament. I mean just everything you could think of. It's a thick book, maybe 3 inches wide.

I've googled and ask.com and can't find it. Does anyone know the one I'm speaking of?? I'd like to buy it.

I don't know Winona, I will ask my dad. He is a huge Louis L'Mour fan. I am sure he will know, and if not, he has the book so I bet he could find it for you.

Thanks a lot!! I appreciate it. Gary loves LL but that's the one book he doesn't have. If you could send it to my email or pm me, just to make sure I get the msg, I'd appreciate it. I might not see it here as we, hopefully, have a load to pick up and go home.

Winona,
Go on Amazon and under books, type in, how clocks are made. Then several books come up about clocks, maybe its listed there.

I will ask him tonight. He is at work right now, maybe I can catch him on his lunch hour.

Hey Winona, if you get the name of that book, could you pass it on. My husband loves clocks and that would be so cool. Let me know.
You don't have an email listed when I got to email you from the farm here.
Let me know.

Oh Ladies! I am so sorry! I forgot to call my dad this evening. I will try and catch him tomorrow before work, and I will leave a phone message for him to call me during his noon hour if I miss him. Sorry about that!

There is an official Louis L'Amour website at http://www.louislamour.com/ where they have a discussion forum. Maybe someone there could help you.

I asked my dad and he doesn't know the title of the book. He said he honestly didn't like the autobiography and that it just didn't feel like Louis La'mour's writing so he didn't read the whole thing. Sorry!
