I have this amazing black berry patch that I was picking this summer. But for one reason or another, I didn't get to go pick enough and I don't have ANY put up for the winter. But I _know_ that there are a lot of dried berries still on the vine at my spot.

So here's my question- If I go and pick all those dried up berries- will they reconstitute into edible berries or is there flavor and goodness shot?

Thanks!

I think the flavor is long gone. They are just dried up berries - best left for the birds.

I think once they dry on the vine, they've put their all into the seeds. You could try if you pass by some, but I wouldn't drive off to go give it a try. Rose hips are ripe now, and elderberries, and there are other harvests to move on to. :) There's always next year. Maybe you can make some fruit leather with apples and a package of berries from the store? Give you that summer taste.

We make a difference.

Oh no Sad to say the berry is done and to try and resurrect an already dead berry won't do much but take up freezer space and waste you time.
