Yay! I can't wait to see those little baby oinkers! I love pigs! Isn't Ms. Piggy a pretty gal--what kindof pig is she? I couldn't tell if some of her markings were actual markings, or of the mud kind :)
Please post more photos when they arrive--

Both Ms Piggie and Kermit are pure bred Berkshire.
Once she pigs, you can count on pictures!!!
It's a race to see who delivers first, Ms Piggie or Dolly (Jersey cow)

Cyndi- Aren't Berkshires a heirloom breed? And is Kermit the daddy?

Berks are a very old breed but the Berks of today aren't much like they were years ago. They used to be more of a lard type pig but have been bred for more meat.
The meat has a different 'grain' than most pork. The Berks are sold in a different market and command a higher market price.
I love the cuts of Berks better than other breeds with the exception of the ham, the taste is out of this world, but the texture is not that of regular ham.

and yes, Kermit is the daddy.

We have Ms Piggie in the birthing stall.
Paul (DH) is still not convinced she is PG, much less about to give birth because she isn't 'showing' (except for those milk jugs!!)
checked her just now and her tail tendons are getting more and more loose. Threw in a couple bales of straw and she's pawing at it (nesting!!!)

That is so exciting Cyndi! Is she tame enough to let you probe her abdomen? Make you could feel for little piggies in there!

Alee, She's as tame as a pet dog, just as lovable too! I go into her pasture (now her stall) a couple times a day for scritches. she'll follow me around the pasture. I've mess with her belly, eyes, ears, feet and even mouth. She never even offers to show any type of aggression.
As I was feeling her tendons, she lays down for me. I've tried probing her belly, but I don't have a clue what I've feeling!!! Is it a piglet or intestines??? LOL!
She loves having her belly rubbed now. She is definitely producing milk. Squeezed a teat today and got a drop.
We don't have a birthing crate for her, so I hope she fairs well

Cyndi-
I am not an expert on feeling for piglets so I don't think I could describe it very well! I hope she gives birth soon for you!

We have piglets!!! Some time early early this morning. We were out there at 5:30 and there were 9 alive and 1 dead. I think it got rolled on. She rolled on anther while we went inside to get ready for our trip today. Got back this evening and we still have 8 healthy, plump piglets!
Pictures on Monday!
