Ok, I am totally unhappy with this one....if this apron appeals to any of you....let me know...it is yours. I am totally frustrated with it.
As for me.....back to the drawing board

Bev: I saw that pattern and almost bought it...both on ebay and in the store. It looks great in the pic but I am thick through the middle and I wouldn't look good in it. I may look huge or 9 months pg or something like that :-(
Sure like the style though. You should make it the original pattern but smaller to fit ya. Just my opinion. :-)
Someone will want what you came up with. I understand all the work and frustration.
It looks like a dress now. :-)

Consider it yours Autumn! I had considered a little more embellishment(little bow at the front neckline)....do you want me to finish or send as is???

Well hey there everyone..I was so busy yesterday gettin ready for my daughter's birthday!! My oldest turned 10 yesterday...I cannot believe it!! I feel like she just popped out yesterday and now she is big and old and smart and speaks intelligently...geez...before I know it I will be feeling like Autumn. I was in your boat last night Autumn.

Bev....I think your hat is very cute. and do not be so hard on yourself about that apron, it is beautiful..perfect for laundry and gardening...Autumn will look lovely in it!!! Perfect with a wide brim straw hat!!!

My robe for my daughter turned out absolutely positively amazing. I finished it with just a few minutes to spare. I also went back to get some black tassles and they had put out 8 1/3 yrds of good burgundy velvet for $3.50/yrd, so I had to come home with all of it. I see a cape on the horizon for me!!!!

Actually..I got a bunch of pkgs in the mail yesterday! One had a very cute coat pattern in it for my twinnies, so maybe I will do that with it!!!???? Okay..I gotta go email some people!!!

Whooo hoooo!!!! Congrats on getting the cloak done in time and successfully, Jess.

Bev, the Milliner! That hat is adorable and I see more of those coming!
The apron, that style is cute on little girls in mini size, but it isn't a "Bev Style" IMO.
The ones that accent your cute figure~more of a 40's sassy housewife, suit you best.;)

I did get that pattern Bev, but not as an apron to use for anything fancy. I bought it so I would have a "completely cover up" apron for candlemaking and etc. I figure once I make it I will basically trash it with wax, but save my clothes as a result. I think what you did with it was good, dear! I haven't made my version yet...I just have some simple sunflower fabric for it that I bought on super closeout since I figured I will just make it smell really good and get covered in wax. :-)

Hey Nay.....really cute dress pattern. One question though......where are the women with waists that small???????? Not in a million years....I would need a Gone with the Wind type of corset to cinch me in that small and then I couldn't breath, or eat, or even talk!!! LOL

Bonne....you are right....I just may have to keep up with the hats....that was way too much fun!!! I think toddler girls dresses with matching hats are in my future.....if only there were some grandchildren in my future. Any body got any toddlers to rent???? I am wondering if there is any market for little girl's clothes online.....I think I would have a blast doing little dresses!!! Boys clothes bore me...sorry.

If you search on Ebay there are several sellers/stores that specialize in "boutique" fashion little girls outfits. I like to gloss through them just to get ideas sometimes~some really cute things I've seen~if they have a following, the prices go quite high.
I'm with you ~ it's fun to make some kiddie clothing, but no one to wear it ........yet!!
I keep a trunk with things I've made~you know, for future? LOL
There are 2 of Jess's children that I like to covet~you know , after she's done all the hard work of birthing, diaper changing and dicipline~but I have to be content to be Auntie in Colorado for now..........

I used to make baby girl dresses with pantaloons with a matching hat. I still have them stored away, and now with the website, I will put them up some day.
