Hello, ladies!!

Monica~I'm so happy to hear about the house situation. Praying that it will work out.

Can't wait for the clothes pin bag swap. I'm excited about the clothespin apron swap. Where can I get a good pattern?

We are working on school and then art class this afternoon. My seedlings are growing like crazy. I posted pictures on my blog.

Ruth, Your box is on it's way out in the mail today! I didn't make it yesterday because the girls were sick and my brother-in-law ans sister-in-law got here yesterday. Cut the box open carefully when you get it because it's packed to the top!

I am really praying that things some how work out to get this property! It would be so nice to have some space and to not have anyone telling us what we can or can't do with our land!

Monica, I was happy to hear from you today! Everything WILL work out for you and your family.

Things should mellow out soon around here so we can get together again before I go home.

The Fluttering Fairies should be done and ready to copy and assemble on Thursday's blog.
Two are pictured on my blog page below but the patterns aren't quite done.

Carol, I can't wait for the faeries...You created a wonderful design. I know your granddaughter is going to love them. I was thinking of cutting the pattern pieces from something that would be weather proof so I could use them as yard art. What material could I use?

Carol, your faeries are lovely, I never would have thought to of jumping jack faeries, brilliant idea.

Monica, I hope your house adventures turn out well. I love the desert of Arizona, just not the big cities, it was so nice to see the pictures of Oatman and you and Carol hooting it up...

I managed to not complete any sewing projects today, but I like the things I'm fooling around with. I have jars of buttons on the side of my stairs, because I was too lazy to find a spot for them in my sewing room, plus, they looked kind of nice marching up the steps.
Suddenly tonight there was an explosion of cats charging downstairs, knocking over jars of buttons as they stampeded through. Amazingly, they only broke one jar. it was quite a explosion of noise, flying kitties, buttons and broken glass.

Hope all is well with all of you,

Karin

Hey, Steph...I'm having some problems exporting the graphics but am getting closer..
wish I were more computer savvy (but I'm learning....lots of things..hhhmmmmm)!
The copies will be in full color and ready to cut out and assemble.

Sometimes I laminate stuff but the damp still gets through and ruins what's inside.

If I could learn how to recycle and flatten plastic bleach bottles and shoot them through my printer that would be a cool deal......LOL LOL

Actually I DO recycle plastic bottles. I cut them into marker shapes and print what seeds I've planted, then push them into the ground by the seeds..........in the past there've been times when I had absolutely NO idea what was coming up so this has helped me a lot!

Oh, and I know that you can buy the plastic markers but why spend the money when you can recycle in such an easy (and necessary) way!..........????

Carol, when you mentioned the empty bleach bottles I think I regressed to elementary school..remember cutting them into different shapes? I know we did something with them..I can't even remember..just the cutting up of them flashed in my brain...LOL

Omg, I didn't know the faeries would be totally done and ready to assemble..how cool is that?! I thought you were giving us the pattern to decorate ourselves...YAY!! Instant gratification.

Hey girls-
Karin-those silly cats!!! I can just hear the buttons and exploding glass!!! Just an excuse to play in the buttons I suppose

Carol-the fairies are adorable!!! And bleach bottles??? Well in Vacation Bible School we made...pigs!!! Turn them on their side and the top becomes a snout....you get the idea
did that spark your memory Steph????

I'm down with a bad cold...my head feels cemented!!! I have been on the couch all morning-still in PJs!!
Gotta run- rather crawl to the couch again!

LOL Autumn, yes that did it...the pigs...I know there was something else too..maybe my brain will fire at some point and it'll come back to me..hahaha How aweful, warm weather and a stopped up head! Stay on the couch in the pj's...steam the sinuses and drink that Lipton chicken noodle soup that comes in the packages..that stuff always makes a cold feel better for some reason.

Ruth, I'm fine.

Karin, Are you still picking glass from the buttons or vice versa?? I hate it when that kind of stuff happens....takes way too much time to get it all up. I'm glad cats are so good at flying through the air..that kept their tootsies out of the glass.

Yes it was quite tedious sorting buttons from glass bits, but everyone got through it unscathed. The cats definitely have spring fever, they are at the windows listening to the birds, chasing each other around the premises.

Is really foul here today, dark, dank and very cold. I have been cleaning up the kitchen a bit and finishing up some quilt lblocks. I just made the mistake of watching Emeril on the teeve. Now i want something fabulous for supper. Soup is probably what I will have....I'm cold, gotta go layer up a bit

Karin, when does it warm up in your area? I looked at the future forcast up at our cabin and they are calling for snow showers next Tuesday! It has been the most snow according to our real estate that I stay in touch with.

I have a girlfriend down on the Gulf Coast that says Emeril will be her next husband...LOL She says "Can you imagine having that man cook for you every night?"...She's only in love with his cooking skills..LOL

Carol, those fairies are so darling.

Well, I have been trying to sew. Yesterday I was busy doing yard work at my mom's house, and then off for a visit. Oh, the stories that she tells. You would think that a rehabilitation center would be on the boring side, but the women in her room are something else.

I had to take care of a couple more problems. The things that some nurses will do.

The yard work isn't too bad if the front yard is done one week and the back yard the next. I found her weed whacker, so the back yard looks much better.

Karin, I hope you get all the buttons and glass cleaned up okay! Sounds like my house except for kids instead of kittens!

Teresa, I hope your gang is feeling better! Mine are and a rambunctious as ever!

I will keep you all posted on the latest house adventures!

Carol,It just came to mind when I was reading your post that I have plastic sheets that I use for quilting! Would the design print on permanently? They are about 8" by 10"! They are semi-transparent and I think I got them at Office Max! I think they would be sturdy enough. I use them to cut out quilt pattern pieces!

Autumn, I hope you are feeling better! (((((((((hugs)))))))

Sorry if I missed anyone!

Jess, don't want to embarrass Vincent, but he has the sweetest smile. Tell him when the others aren't around, if there's any such thing.
The neighbor had chickens when I was about 8, in SoCalif, just a few miles from the beach. Her parents owned the property, a fourplex, so they were able to do it...and guess no restrictions from the city back then. I made pets of some of them-same with the pigeons when we lived in Oceanside, CA.
Okay, time to go get the husband, he called from Seattle and was about half hour late, so hopefully I'll get there right when he steps out the terminal doors.
