Yep, you are right on that one. When we had that contest on the forum, the other person would type about one sentence per post, and in order to read the whole message, it took a couple of pages worth just to get to the end.

CONGRAtS, BEV!!!!
How you can sew and post is a mystery to me!!!
You too Jess..and Bonne...
Great biscuit recipe-few ingredients always good and LIGHT!

1/2 cup butter-(not margarine)
2 cups self rising flour
3/4 cup buttermilk
Cut butter into flour with a pastry blender until coarse
Add buttermilk stirring until moistened. Turn out onto floured board and pat to 3/4" thickness and cut.
Bake at 425 for 11-13 min
Brush with melted butter and eat.
The only thing wrong with these is one is NOT enough!!
You'll never want to be out of buttermilk again after making these biscuits!

I finally tried my needle-felting- lots of fun and pretty fast.
It's a beehive and 2 bees of course!
Have a good week everyone.
Blessings
Autumn

heeey..thats like how mom told me to do the biscuits! only we dont buy buttermilk...
so mine was
1/3 stick real butter
however much flour, plus enough milk to make it doughy...(I uh..dont exactly measure..though for my blog I will)

and the rest of the "how-to" will be posted later in the week on my blog...:P

Bev, I now know what our biscuit problem is! We cook like uptight Northerns. Have to
let loose and "cook Southern"!! LOL
Thanks for the recipe, Autumn. If it's from down Lou'siana way, it's gotta be good!

Ya got that right about southern cooking- it's pretty loose.
Sometimes so loose it's hard to duplicate things.
Did ya try the recipe?

Boy do I feel out of the loop girls. Been a few days and now I am caught up AGAIN!
Love your hat Bev! I only own one hat and my husband picked it out. I do not have a hat head. By that I mean some look fantastic in hats and others(the category I fall in to) do not.
Congrats on the 1000 posts. I'm slowing working my way there.
Biscuits sound yummy. My mom always made a delicious baking soda biscuit. At least that is what she called it.
The buttermilk sure sounds good!

Way cute beehive, Autumn!

CS, your package should be reaching you soon!

Can't wait for supper. Sewing another apron....got some patterns at JoAnn's this morning....and am going to try to make a hat....to match a gardening apron...for a Christmas gift. Hey Sheryl-lyn...remember the gardening fabric I found in NYC...it was white with green and brown wheelbarrows....etc. Oh heck, I might as well put a pic of it here....this is what I am going to make gardening apron and matching hat from.....

I can remember sewing hats in jr high. The newsboy caps (looked like Andy Capp~lol)~the only
ones I've sewn now are fleece ones per my tut: http://groups.msn.com/SpiritSpace/general.msnw?action=get_message&mview=0&ID_Message=16191&LastModified=4675552745833699557
The rest I've knit. Can't wait to see what YOU do!! Hats are so ignored these days and there
are so many cute things you can do!

I need to get buttermilk and self-rising flour~~I think this will be a Thurs. project when I go to visit my son. My mother used to like a glass of occasional buttermilk.

the apron is great! I saw that fabric on the web site. That's vintage back in 60s when women wore dresses and high heels to do housework. LOL that was on tv.
LOL I love the way you did the apron...great!

Well now I can't wait to hear how the biscuits turn out. We had them for supper- my teenager had to cook since I had to unexpectedly be in town for several hours today.
Tks Jess- I really loved doing the bee hive.
I had lots of ideas for other things but I have to focus on my grandkids gifts for Christmas.
It's creeping up on me.
Blessings
