Sharon, go open another Etsy account...doesn't sound like you have any feedback builtup yet...it's pretty quick to setup the account.
I'd make sure I had a link that wasn't censored anywhere.

Thanks Carol Sue, I'm fine...watching it snow right now...wish I had everything fixed at the cabin and was watching from there instead. How are you feeling?

Gals, I just put up all of my pillow, quilt panels, and supplies up just recently and paid my bill per say. I just thought that it was so odd.
It would be easier if I didn't have all the items up and already paid the bill.

Hi there everyone!! I was in Vermont for a week and have been down with serious back problems for about a month on top of that!! Feel better now and hope to hang out on the forum for a little while each day. I do miss hearing all of your voices and what you are up to.
I got my tea cozy done for the swap I am in and am almost done with the apron for the other swap. Very exciting!! Will read the thread as the night goes on. Hope you are all having a good weekend. We have a big storm heading here tomorrow afternoon into Monday.

Bonne!!!....Do you know where I can find a pdf manual for a...Jones handcrank sewing machine? hmm...oh yes....it came in today...when did I buy it? Wednesday(or Tuesday...hmm) and how would you suggest I get all the freaking oil off of it? the bottom is super duper oily I'm addicted....dad emailed about a Treadle nearby too that is absolutly beautiful with a cabinet...hang on...I'll find a link....what do you think we should offer??? Sorry for all my questions.... http://panamacity.craigslist.org/fuo/1054756622.html
ok...back to googling for a manual....hehehe the bobbins are so weird! and the folding handle is so awesome...the bobbin winder..think it is on the front is so clever! the pin you draw back to hold the bobbin place! way cool....trying to figure out how it all works!

I don't know anything about Jones machines or info on them. Sorry. The drawing room treadle on Craiglist! I have one just like it. I paid $100 for it, but that was when I was early into the game. Go see it b/4 you make any kind of offer. It's a Singer Red Eye 66 model uses class 66 bobbins~easy to find, even Joann's has 'em. This particular cabinet folds up neatly and takes up less room than a typical treadle. I'd get it. (ha! I already have!lol) I'll bump up the "treadlin' on" thread, as the last page has all the links to info. There's a link to cleaning treadles and maintenance.

That is no biggie...didnt know if in your searches for manuals if you had come across any Jones manuals..... it has the whole shuttle bobbin thing and is just really awesome....metal...heavy as anything 29lbs!..didnt expect it until Tuesday!
I've emailed you too...and should that machine work out(not gonna get my hopes up yet)...you can expect me to keep bugging you...:P Wonder if I could use the "my birthday is in a month" card....hmmm... Love the cabinet on it...looks to be oak?

Yes, they are oak veneer. Bookmark the "treadlin' on" list of treadle links. Those are all the links that I've found that are useful to me, all in one listing. Treadles teach you a lot about sewing machines in general.

Crossing fingers here for you Nay!!!!
Steph, ok, truth, all in all not faring well right now and havent' for a bit. Yep, needed that talk from Ronna....but still over did it and paying for it. I hate paying for it....I like helping those I love and care for. Must take care of myself....I know you would think that I would have learned this lesson by now. Mostly I have but every once in a while.... fall off the wagon. That and you can do something and be fine doing it that time, the next time, no can do...ugh.
But it does give me time to read and have some fun on here....grin.
Sheryl-lyn, I knew you had to be busy or something was going on with you. Goodness girl, take care of yourself and that back, sciatic nerves can be very irratating if that was part of it. Glad to see you again.....
Oh Jess is that family running you wild againl. Thinking of you girl.

Gals, I applaud anyone who takes care of the elderly in their home on a full time basis. Mil came over and is spending the night, and most likely most of the day tomorrow. I went to get her some of her favorite food (sweet and sour pork), but they were out and they did not have the ingredients to make any more. Sigh. .. So, I got her something else. She took one bite, and that was all she wanted. Mil has such a small list of things that she can eat. My sil told me that my mil has not been eating well.
She is having more problems than before. She told me that this might be her last trip anywhere, because she can not take care of herself. She needs a lot of assistance. We need to make sure that she takes her medicine, and that her shoes are back on her feet. She usually packs a lot (3 suitcases), but I think that since the airlines are charging for extra luggage, that this might be why she only brought one suitcase with her. She forgot a lot of things. She has a list, but decided to slim it down. One of the things she forgot were her slippers. Since our bathroom floor is tile, she was slipping, but she didn't want to wear the shoes. I asked what she was going to do during the night, and she decided that she needs something else on her feet. I usually do not get much sleep while she is here.
Well, I am glad that I was still up. My mil tried to take more of her medicine, but forgot that she had already taken it. Whew! I am also glad that I saw the two pills that fell on the floor, and that our dog did not eat them. Whew again!

It is me again. Yes, I am very tired. I woke up at 3:30 this morning to the sound of my dh's name being yelled. I thought that maybe my mil fell or something, but she needed assistance. After helping her and getting her back to bed, I couldn't sleep. It is almost 9 and although I was able to get back to sleep, I am dragging from exhaustion.

Monica, I don't think that will happen. Whenever I try to rest, I don't usually get to.

Autumn, that would be scary if the baby wasn't moving for the 3 hours. I am glad that baby are doing fine. It is so hard to wait and wait and wait. We are anxious too, and we are not the mother or the grandmother.

Autumn, keeping busy, a very good idea. That apron is the bomb girl what a great job you did.
Karin is my partner and she and I are gimply so ours won't be for a bit. Good thing she is my partner.
I see that some of you gals are headed for a whooper of a snow storm, ugh....we get accumulations of that this Thursday. Well it is the first of March, darn.......
It is raining here cats and doggies and kitchen sinks.....lol Had the grands down for a bit today, ya have to get your hugs in. Lots of them whenever you can. Cause they grow up pretty darn quickly.
So today was slow but steady as they say. I did find a small piece of my kitchen, just a wee little. peeled pototoes for mashed becasue I want comfort food....yep, pain level goes up and this girl majorly wants comfort food....hmmm, thus the tire around the middle...ya win some you lose some....lol
