Way too much for one person to have, even I know that. When it comes to textiles, especially quilts, I see, I want, I buy.
A bunch of different stuff will be for sale, at decent prices. This is just a sample, many many more quilts I've not taken pics of yet. They're between the mattress and springs (not $$ ones), on the guest bed and in the cedar chest too. 30 years of concentrated buying.
Thanks for looking. The embroidered pastel animals, think the kittie was close up, needs taken apart and redone too. all bunched up. Have a few that way.

Steph, that yoyo was from eBay several years ago. The yellow and lavender one is hiding from me. Have several plus a bunch not put together, both vintage and fairly new.

Cathedral window is not too heavy, was done in squares and then sewed together, so not too many layers. I love the pastels. It's like new, has only been on the back of the couch and guest bed.
The treadle is my Minnesota my stepmom gave me not long ago. Dad found it in a barn, owners said to take it and he refinished the oak for her. Would not know there's a machine inside, looks like a library table. I'll have to open it and take photos too. Being in the kitchen with the micro on top is not the best place to show it off.
night ladies, off to Reno to get the grouch, glad the snow from last night melted.

Good morning, ladies~

I am baking bread today~or at least trying.

I am so thrilled with everything I got done yesterday. We have taken this week off from school and it makes it easier to get things done. I don't know if I will be around much tomorrow and this weekend. My husband's godmother is in critical condition due to her heart. She is in Boston. We will be going to visit her. She was supposed to have a cardiac cath on Tuesday and they still haven't done it. Supposedly today they will. They left her fasting all day on Tuesday and then said they couldn't do the procedure. Hospitals stink!! She will also have open heart surgery for two leaking valves, a blocked artery and she has an enlarged heart. They are very concerned she will not pull through. I also have to go to work. It will be very busy.

Ronna~great quilts. That is quite a collection. I wish I could find some here but never have. I don't even own one quilt. I did make a cross-stitch lap quilt for my mom last year.

Welcome, Rebekah!!

Gotta go and get that bread started.

Wow Ronna, you have some fabulous quilts, i particularly love that first yoyo one, and they are all pretty fabulous. What a treat to see them, you definitely have the collector's eye. And much better thrift shops! Thank you for sending me the fibro link.

Jess, thank you for posting my block, not that you don't have enough to do. Rosie with the baby belly is perfect! Well done.

I am just about ready to scream this morning, my fibro is on the warpath, what a bore. I'm making coffee, going to have that and all my meds and hope that gets me to a semi functional condition today. My car looks great out there, all covered with snow...which has stopped for the moment.
I really do feel like i have been released from prison, now I just have to organize the prison.

Before i takle anything else I have to get my quilt blocks done, the first applique one took a very long time, but it was because I had to keep redoing bits of it. Needless to say, no two will be alike...I am counting on getting the five applique ones done and then I may use a patchwork block for the second one.

Yesterday zan and I went to several stores, and I actually found the cutest little black velvet jacket. $10. I said to my daughter, it's Calvin Klein and she retorted oh she had read somewhere that he swore he would never do plus sizes. I'm glad he caved, because I hnever thought I would find a jacket that cute for me. It kind of reminds me of turn of the century stuff. I am a happy fat person today.

Whe we were at the bookstore we were looking at all the magazines, they didn't have the quilt one I wanted but I bought a magazine about Rennaissance Fairs. What a treat, lots of photos, beautiful old engravings. It is fun to look at something new and different. I haven't had to create any costumes for ages, but I feel inspired now.

The snow looks luscious, I have to go buy some more ice melt stuff I think. I'm looking forward to our daily visit from the turkey herd. It is such fun to watch them stomping through the yard.

Okay, coffee time.

Thanks, Jess~I have the sponge sitting out and getting ready. I should have started that sooner but got distracted with other things.

We always see wild turkeys around here.

Karin~so glad you have your car back and it's running well. Sounds like a great find while you were out shopping.

Karin, I think it sounds lovely where you live! I like the "back roads"...but I like them better when I don't have to travel to work!

Ronna, I love the collection! You definitely have better thrifts than we do! I've been visiting them all as daughter wants vintage tablecloths at her wedding reception this summer. I've managed to pick up quite a few. Back to the quilts, I am just getting into learning how to do the quilting thing and I love it! I've always loved quilts but never tried to make them. Now I'm in learning mode...

Jess, I love the little picture in your tag!

Rebekah, Glad to "meet" you! I think it's cool to have mothers and daughters on the forum...there seem to be a growing number! Not mine, unfortunately...

Everytime I visit my son outside of Syracuse NY I see flocks of turkeys wandering across his fields, geese, even saw a coyote slinking across the bottom of the yard near the run the last time. I was so excited, running around trying to find the dog so she didn't get eaten...

I thought of letting sit for the day but I think hubby wants us to make a trip to Boston to visit his godmother before surgery.

yes i saw that, best wishes for your trip and to his godmother.

I have found it best to mix up the sponge when i clean up from dinner, then bake next day around noon.

I will have to try that next time. I wasn't thinking about the hours it would need to sit out. I get the hand of this, sometime.

Thanks for the best wishes.
