Woweee Bev! Lovely apron!(mom and i havent gotten our fabric yet...but soon)
and LOVE the purse and gloves....I agree..you need a pill box hat to match...too cute..
with all you've done since I last checked in..I feel lazy! though...Monday night I did make a new skirt, and a little wrap skirt to go under it...and I DO have a good excuse..kinda...my sewing machine was wonky....come to find out...after experimenting with top tension, bottom tension, taking the machine apart, cleaning, oilng and putting it all back together.....It was just a dull needle.....yup...a weeks worth of problems...caused by a piece of sharp thin metal an inch or so long....aaaaaaaah....go figure...

Oh Naomi, I am glad that you found the problem that has making you pull out your hair. It is the pits when it is something that simple. Whenever I have problems, I redo everything. I was having tension problems yesterday, and found that the machine needed cleaning. I didn't notice it until I looked at the underside of the 4 straps that I had just sewed. I hate to rip things out, but had to.

Hey Gals, Bev has both the purse and the mittens up on Etsy.

Naomi, that was what was driving me batty when I first got my MIL's treadle.
Tried everything and finally changed the needle and that was the culprit!!!

Has anyone seen this pattern? (posted on my blog)~ http://bonne1313.blogspot.com/

My sister sent it to me and it looks really cute.

I'm glad I figured it out too....I was sure I'd messed something up and was going to have to take it to be repaired...that would have been embarassing...."It was just the needle" "WHAT!?"
My sewing teacher said "It's so annoying to have to troubleshoot a sewing machine -- they're like infants because 10 different things can make them fussy, and you have to baby them along and figure out which combination it is THIS TIME. "
Is that true or what?
way cute pattern Bonne! I havent seen that pattern before...
I'll have to get a picture of the skirt set I made soon...today my project is a log cabin quilt top...following one of those "quilt in a day" books...testing it out, before I start in on the two I want to make...one for a Thank you to my sewing teacher for the lessons and one to my grandparents for their 50th in Jan....

Bonnie, I did a search for prairie girl favorite things v028, and the pattern runs about $12.00.

This seller is selling it on Ebay for $11.99 with $1.99 for shipping

Great bag!! I love the mittens too. I am a mitten lover. When I was a kid, I wore mittens to bed all winter long and my parents did not even say anything about it.

I'm telling you, you gotta get it while the gettin is good.
Now to finish up some projects so I can get on to some of this.
The lady who cut it wanted to know what I was going to do with it all. I said make these patterns up. Sheesh what did she think I was gonna do COLLECT it? Now that's what my husband swears I am doing with it. I don't know WHERE he gets that idea.

I'm sitting here at work..

With someone screaming in my headset at me..

Reading all sorts of lovely things with you girls at the farm..
AND
Shopping for Fabric on Line!!
HA!!

This guy just said to me.. "Your not even listening to a damn word i'm saying! Are you? Just like my wife!"
WOW! He must be clairvoyant! or have a camera to see be able to me..

Hmmm.. wonder if he just saw me stick my tongue out at him.. ?
Or..!!! ok..i'll spare you the other great gestures he's getting from me right now..

He needs to be nice.. or i'm going to keep putting him on hold & ignoring him..
If he'd stop telling me to not interupt him.. I might be able to make him understand what an idiot he is..

I've decided that he'd really just rather hear his own voice at this point..

Wow.. what a piece of work..
i can't even tell ya what he just told me to go do now..
ok.. he's in trouble now..he's going to get the eternal hold music..!

Carol Sue.. Hope your catching all this..

I'll fill in the blanks later Kiddo..

ok.. back to work.. My fabric order is now Complete..
I'll go see if Mr. Crabby pants has calmed his little self down enough so i can tell him his refund is on the way.. which if he would have shut up 20 minutes ago..i could have shared that with him.. but of course..i wasn't allowed to interupt him.. he TOLD me that right off the bat.. ..

Ooops..no.. still swearing..

ok.. I've had to result in the big NO no.. TALKING over HIM!
got his attention.. he heard tha magic words.. REFUND..

creep.. now he's trying to joke around..
i'm not playing though.. he can go take a leap..

Dang it..
Do you know how much I HATE to have to tell him to have a great day..& thanks for calling?

After he called me everything He could think of.. & then some!

Alright.. thanks girls..THAT was my Jerk Vent for the day..
(I hope.. )
At least until the next call anyway!!!!!

Ooooooo Cute Cowgirl Fabric!!!!

I have spent waaaaay to much this week. They had juvenile prints on for 50% off. I couldn't believe it. I found great cowboy prints and Scottish dog prints. At the cutting table, everyone was asking if there were any more of the fabric. NOPE! I got it all. No, actually, I did let a woman get some of the bolt, and I bought the rest. I did my good deed.
