Have we all decided that we like the idea of the bee and sewing machine...perhaps a treadle or an old model....since so many of us ARE old models...LOL!!

Hi everyone! I'm just saying that I am here...on the new topic.
I like "Apron Bees", "Bee Stitching" and also "Sewing Bees". I have been gone all day and have pages and pages to read!. I feel warm and fuzzy and loved here...and also inspired to sew and apron!

Told ya I've been busy!!
The bib & socks are my first tatting projects. Simple but still I was pleased.I even made my own bias- thanks to my teachers here on the farm!

The clothesline thread made me get busy & get mine up again- it's been down since the hurricane. Now it's up and better than ever- especially since the trees are thinned out a bit.

Blessings

I like the idea of a title that includes "Without Borders" to have a nod that we're from all over. Bees Without Borders or Busy Bees Without Borders...something to that effect.

Bonnie, I like that material, it made a very pretty apron :)

Leezard, ck your Joann's in the clearance. That's where I got the fabric~it's a heavier weight cotton and they had a couple similar patterns. (The colors are much more deep and vibrant than the pic~bright high altitude sun here washes colors out so much.)

Autumn, love the tatted trim! How special!

Bev,
I want to play.....sign me up.
I am up to my eyeballs in projects right now, infact I am covered from head to toe in grey/brown & orange paint....from painting wooden turkeys/pumpkins & pilgrims & indians...but can always find time for a farmgirl activity.
Hey Carol Sue, when you headed out to the Buggy Barn did ya notice the large wooden pumpkins w/the goofy faces on the right side of the road (Royal gardens)???? yep, my handy work.
Ok, off to take a bath and hopefully get this paint off and then on to a sewing project that I have been procrastinating with. I have a deadline to meet and need to get my bottom in gear!

Can I join the chapter too?

By the way- You are all going to absolutly _die_ when you hear this!

I was watching a BBC garage sale show the other day and they put only five pounds on a treadle machine because it was "only" a treadle and not electric. It was really old looking and beautiful. It looked like an old singer with the pretty flowers painted on it. It looked to be in near perfect condition too! I just about cried to see them only putting five pounds on it, which is about $10 american!!!!!
