For the crochet pattern~What I'd do is save the pic on my computer and do a closeup on it to read the pattern. Or you can use your photo editor to blow up the size of the pic. I scanned it at 150 ppi and it comes in very clearly when you use Windows Picture and Fax viewer (double click the pic on your computer) then click on the + symbol on the toolbar at bottom of the pic.

yes ronna, still interested, I have gotta get all my beds done and outfitted before babe pops out.

sharon, i dont get it how people can give away family made stuff either. I made a dress for my niece outta that chicken fabric. I was thinking of hitting you up for more sometime. I dont thinkI have a pic of it. I know I took one, but I have been looking through my files, and cannot find it. I will have to see if my sis can take a pic of her in it. I gave it to her with the Jan Brett book, Daisy Comes HOme for Christmas...along with a basket full of stuffed chickens.

Ronna...i can always post pics for you even with 14 things goin on...there is always time for you.

Okay I wantt ot see you girls make those washcloths outta Bonne's flower garden pattern, so post the pics when u r done..I cannot do it, so I can live through your pictures.

I'll email to you Jess. I did open a photobucket acct, but something was fighting me and I got aggravated. Want you to see the top before I send it. Cause if you don't want it, it'll just have to continue living here :)

Oh gosh dam, I'm fighting the shopping cart at my website..it's the first time I've used it and all is ok til it calculated shipping it's enough to throw a customer into a tailspin! LOL I've emailed my host to see what I'm doing wrong.

So sorry Ronna, I've been trying to list stuff at the website so I missed your message about emailing photos to me. Jess seems to be the "super woman" around here and my "mental pause" is striking big time lately...Today I was talking about stuff to Thomas and kept loosing my train of thought. Maybe I've just got too much floating around in my brain right now

Ronna, your son has been in the company of what I refer to as a "vampire"..they suck all of the good energy out of you plus sometimes reliefing you of many material things..LOL Tell your son to start wearing a garlic necklace..LOL I've had way too many of them cross my path and can now usually sense them.

And yes, I've always felt that you and I shared some of the same obsessions..The difference between us right now is that I've moved too much and lost or given away so much. If I had it all back it would fill up an aircraft hanger! I'm not lying either. I really have been such a queen packrat since I was about 17 years old.

Thanks, Bonne..I'll try blowing up that page and printing it out.

Ok, where's Bev this weekend? I've seen her new purses and aprons but haven't checked her farm blog yet.

Now you can be sorry you offered, Jess. Sent some of my guest room, before I started hanging the christening gowns and pics on the walls. And our new Hot Rod. And Shelby, the new chocolate Lab.
Moral of story....it's never too late to have a happy childhood!
when I emptied mothers assisted living room, she had three rows of curtain rods with her stuffed animals displayed. She was more concerned about what was going to happen to them than her jewelry or money. Told her I'd donate most to the DIL's of her gentleman friend, who both teach hearing impaired children and use them as incentives to do well. She was happy with that. I kept a few I had bought her, but most were so tacky ugly. She had a crappy childhood and didn't have a doll until she stole one from a neighbor girl and ran home with it and hid under the bed. Her brothers told their mother to get her a doll and I'm sure it's the only one she ever had...too bad it wasn't saved, but do have a photo of her with it. She had four older brothers and was not a wanted child, especially being a girl...sad way to grow up.
Now aren't you ladies sorry you opted to let me join in here..................

Steph, I'll pass that message along to Jerry...though garlic does not agree with his digestive system, to put it politely, so may have to find something else. Crazy, any time I was at the places they lived, she was always cleaning, but was a total slob. My cleaning lady and I spent the day cleaning the last house they rented here and it was gross. My house may be cluttered, but underneath is not filthy dirty. My son is a slob and I know it, but when you have two in a house, it's disaster. I also went through the trash picking out things I'd bought that were perfectly fine and she'd not used and thrown away. Things she asked for no less.
This same cleaning lady got paid for cleaning for me, plus I sent her home with tons of good stuff for her family each time. Food, clothing, many $$$ worth and she flaked on me...owing me on top of it for a phone card I'd bought and she didn't work to pay for. Sheeeshhhh. Said her husband wanted her to work at the school and bring home a regular paycheck-instead of $10 hr cash and freedom to come and go when her kids needed her. Made no sense.

Garlic necklace Ronna! He doesn't have to eat it. OMG, you've always got so many interesting stories...I love them!

And you are sooo right about it never being too late for a childhood!!! The adult one for me is far more fun than the young one. I don't even remember alot of it because I've blocked it out.

Steph, I think just the smell of garlic sends him to the nearest toilet!
Ha, a lady on the bread list I've been part of for years is saving all my tales of the wild and crazy early 70's when I was single, so she can put them in a book if I get senile and forget. I keep telling them some of the 'guilty' have to die so I don't get sued for telling the truth :)
I sent Jess photos of the guest room with all the dolls and bears, before I started putting stuff on the walls. Now have to finish that and try to put the bears and dolls back on the bed...if I can convince miss shelby lynn choco lab that the bed is not there for her benefit...and to not chew any more of them up. I already keep the sewing room door closed tight, would prefer to not have to do it to that room too.

Has anyone seen the vintage style apron kits in Joanne's Fabric? The cost is $15 and they are adorable on the pics. Little ruffles on shoulders, nice designs. All printed like a panel on the fabric. I really liked the designs.

I have seen the panels. I have so many panels, not those, that I bought through a distributor. They are the Amy Butler panels I believe.

HEy girls!
I am sooo enjoying the banter!
Talk about a book!!! You guys have so many stories I can't keep up.

So sad about sad childhoods~ but I'm really glad that you girls have made happy adult lives out of them for yourselves AND your kids and parents.

Speaking of childhood~ Ahem... (I have a short attention span)
here's my sewing project for the week! It's a shower gift for a friend in France.
I'm very well-travelled~ NOT!!!

NO LAUGHING...I can hear you Kathie...just because you did a kazillion aprons and they were all gorgeous...you have to be polite and applaud my little effort for the week....na..na..na.. I hear you snickering girls
Love you gals!

Blessings,
Autumn

Hey Autumn,

Your project of the week is adorable I must say even if the others are snickering..NOT!!

And you are right...transforming crappy childhood..young adulthoods into "great days now" accounts for why I'm so passionate with stuff. I've got this one life and it's not a dress rehearsal! So enjoyment is at the top of my list for each day now.

Soooo, how many times did you swing from that rope today!! woohoo

Sharon, I see you have your website link in again! Very Good...who hosts your site? It kind of reminds me of a cubecart template which is PHP code and I just about lost my mind trying to learn it while having just enough knowledge of HTML at the time....so I abandoned that altogether and got back to just plain HTML...much much better for my brain..

Hey girls..has anyone tried to order MJs new book today? I was going to do that Sisterhood Special thing...I cannot put a darn thing in my shopping cart..it absolutely will not let me do it. I signed in. I filled out my payment info, but I cannot put anything in my cart..no books, no flowers, no nothing. what the heck? Oh well..I sent an email for help, hopefully someone will pity me and I can still get my book preordered and save my $10. Oh well. Okay, off to download Ronnas photos. She has more dolls and bears than you can shake a stick at...what does that mean anyway?
