OH JESS!!! The Cake is the BEST!!! What did you use for the Wings? They look like slices of Marshmallows!!! (I have a funny recipe for Marshmallows by the way!)
Did she get her 'Special' Birthday wish yet this morning??
At Jeff's FIRST Birthday.. i remember he snapped the elastic on his Birthday hat & cried for nearly half an hour over it.. & had this crazy red mark on his cheek all day long! Somehow.. I just don't think they get into these first few Borthday quite as much as us Mom's do!
Yes Karin.. I'd love one of these Great Dogs.. But SOME HOW.. I'm with Bonne.. wondering about the Heat too.. My GREAT Dream Dog though is an English Sheep Dog! I had one named Lucy when the kids were teeny.. I had to leave her in Illinois with my mom when i moved here.. 7 have kicked myself in the rear ever since!
ok.. Who aked about the fallen Donkey..? Autumn? His Name is Andrew.. he was a sole Survivor from Hurricane Andrew.. Fiberglass i think. He has some damage.. & lost his straw hat naturally.. & his "wife" & family were never found.. But Andrew was found floating in my father in laws Jacuzzi.. & he gave him to me..! So he guards the yard.. & Garden.. lets the dogs hang around with him.. & one of my neighbors borrows him for church things a couple times a year.. like their Easter Events.. & their Nativity Scene.. so he gets a fresh paint Job now & then.... I'll get a better picture of him.... he has a nasty gash on the top of his back though.. BIG enough for a Kitten to fall into if anyone remembers the story of Frank the kitten falling into the Donkey!! & a damaged leg.. But.. he hoplds jis own I suppose!

Oh man, my older prize winning English Angora just passed. I knew she was on her way out but I thought it would be summer or fall. She was really old, I know these things happen, but what a bummer. Now I have to tell my kids and have a funeral tonight! And a funeral means painting a headstone. By the time my kids are all grown my back yard is going to look like a darned cemetary. A burial and head stone for each pet...even fish!

| Whenever we had a pet die or had a pet put to sleep, I ball my eyes out for days. My boys are different. They loved the dogs, but they are not emotional. |

WAAA! HAAA!HAAAA! Kathie- the donkey story is so funny!!!In a jacuzzi????? How funny! I've just been popping in here and there to try to keep up with everyone- but havent had much time to post. The newlyweds are just fine-happy as clams! Cute as can be,too. Right after the wedding my aunt passed away and I was off to help my mom through that and now it is on to settling the estate- mom & I are the only family so other than being alot of details it shouldn't take too long. The house my aunt lived in was my grandparents- my mom was born there- You cannot imagine all the wonderful rusty things that I've found. my mom just shakes her head as she protects silver & china and I am latching onto all the old buckets and wash pans and such.

Well ladies. I did something stupid yesterday. Dh had a small fan/blower on the dining room floor. I was walking barefoot and rammed my foot in to the lower part of the fan. No, the fan was off. I have a deep gash on the second to the smallest toe, near where the toe and the foot are joined. I bled like crazy but got the bleeding to stop. Today dh looked at the foot, and thought that I would need stitches, but can not figure how they could stitch it up. So, I don't know what will happen tomorrow. Dh cleaned up the wound and got the bleeding to stop again. Also, we found out that our oldest son needs to have all 4 wisdom teeth removed, and the oral surgeon is not on dh's plan. So, he is a well advised surgeon with knowledge of the latest techniques. My son's wisdom teeth are coming in at an angle are near his nerves. We were told a couple of years ago by son's orthodontist about the problem. The orthodontist could tell from the x-rays that if the wisdom teeth were not removed that it could cause problems. The health insurance denied saying that it is preventative medicine, so it isn't covered. So, we can either find a surgeon under the plan or go with this surgeon. |

no i cannot read stevephen king..he freaks me out but i know the story line.
Sharon...go get some super glue for your cut. It is the same stuff they use in the hospital and works wonder...all for only 1.50. I use it all the time and avoid countless stitches..just dont get it too wet.
As for the wisdom teeth, that sucks...I just did mine 2 yrs ago..they were rubbing on my nerves and I thought I was going to leap out the window. Mine werent covered either, so...$2, 000 later I was okay...go with anyone who is covered...really it all works out aboutt he same..not worth the $ in my opinion.

Well Sharon, ouch, ouch and more ouch!! Man I know that hurt!
Sounds like your son's wisdom teeth are doing exactly what mine did at a young age...They were impacted growing side ways and pushing on all of my other teeth. They were cut out 2 at a time on one side so I could eat on the other side then 2 weeks later I went back and the other two cut out. I spit tooth fragments for a long time. I was 17 or 18 when it was done. Demerol was the drug of choice for taking aways the pain because buddy it would have been too much otherwise.
Don't you just love how insurance works, grrrr! Of course, I don't think I had any insurance when it happended to me but prices were a bunch cheaper 30+ years ago!
Let us know how that turns out and hope your foot is better!

It is like an old fashioned scale that tells you what "size" your egg is.
Yep..we have funerals for everything. The bad thing about this one is that it did not workl out last night to have the funeral, so it'll be today...man that girls gonna be stiff.
