I would definitely dig that moat now, Tina Michelle!! Our poor daughter was afraid to bring any boy home here when she was younger!!

I posted a picture of my daughter on my blog. Click on it to make it larger so you can see her better. My mom sent it to me from her visit to my brother's house. It is so hard to believe she is almost 21!!

You gals all think alike. I hope that my youngest son finds someone as nice as Naomi. I am hoping that he finds someone who can sew or wants to learn how to sew. I am also glad that my son isn't with this girl anymore. She drove me crazy.

ok...I have the fabric pinned to most of the chair now. I have to sew some of the pieces together tonight or tomorrow to see if it all fits. You will hear me yelling all the way in California if it does not fit!! :) Then I will be running to the furniture store to buy a brand new chair.

Hey girls! Hows florida Bev?

Okay Sheryl..I have ben waiting on you to do this chair for months...I have a chaise lounge in my bedroom that cannot be removed from my bedroom, and I have to make a slip cover for it, but I have been waiting for you to finish, so you can give me tips..the whole thing scares me a bit. So you keep on sewin, and I have my fingers crossed for you.

I have been outside all day...hauling limestone one wheelbarrow load at a time up a slight grade, but I finally got my new bed edged, filled with rabbit manure, and dirt, mixed up, and planted one side of it. I am so thrilled. My whole yard has been mowed and whacked, so I am feelin good about what we accomplished today and I am ready for a long soak in a hot tub...so I am off to clean the bathroom...my hands are killing me!

Here's a tip Jess...put a quilt over it and call it a day. Maybe the pressure you just applied to me will make a positive change in my attitude about the chair. :)

Bev, I love all things sports related, but the drafts for any sport don't appeal to me (except the Santana one for the Mets!) When are you coming home?

Hey Bonne: My son is actually thinking about going back to college in the fall!! Maybe he will forget the cop thing for a while so he can finish school.

Tina: Yes, we certainly are super lucky with the girls, huh? My girl is much more girlie than I am, but we are similar in personality. She is even enjoying cooking and making stuff as she matures. Fun to watch.

sheryl-lyn same with Naomi..she loves the farm girl way of life..begged me to take her to the feed store the other day so she could get 2 more baby chickens..and she loves sewing as you all know..and loves to bake bread now. she is an A number 1 bread baker..I tell you! makes the best wheat bread and cinnamon rolls to die for!
she'll make a good wife for some super lucky guy one day. but I'm not in a hurry to let her go though.
I like having my kids all close by.

Linda, I'm glad you enjoyed my goat story..LOL I have many more crazy ones like that. Bev's new kids have sent me into a major flashback of all the good goatkeeping days I used to have. I've already informed Thomas that when we get settled in our cabin in a few years that I want a pair of Nigerian Dwarfs. That way I won't need as much land.

Hey Bev, hope you found some quiltshops or something on your trip...yeah, the NFL is not on the top of my list...would have to have something to do to tune it out..LOL

Sheryl, I know that chair is looking good girl!

Jess, don't mess up your back hauling too much..it'll come back to haunt you in about 20 years :o)

I am sure I will pay for all my work one day, Steph. But I treat myself regularly to chiropractor and massage.

Steph....I cannot wait to see the new Nigerian Babies....born while I am here in FLA....Becky (sil) tells me that Ash's triplets are....one black and white like her and two are tri-color ....pics will be up on Monday as soon as I get back to those babies. We fly home late tonight (Sunday). Then are home for 9 days before going to Las Vegas (Golly, I wish I could just stay home....isn't that terrible of me?) Oh well, we will have fun....but I miss the farm and this is the busy time of year!

Jess, I have always worked so very hard ....house, yard, farm, crafts....my hands have taken a beating. Just lately, arthritis has bothered them a bit....Advil really helped. I am still 25 in spirit....it's just every once in a while my body likes to contradict that notion!

Jessica, don't work yourself too hard. I worked really hard on Friday, and my back and all of my muscles ached. Today, we are attacking our living room. I had put cleaning to the side, because of all the other things going. Dh would ask what I wanted to do with things, but I would say, "I don't know." Well, We are donating a lot of things. The donation truck will be here on Wednesday, and we have plenty for them.

I'm looking forward to seeing the "kids" too. They look like little stuffed animals! LOL
Would be tough to part with them, but there's always more on the way, I suppose. ;)

I've been hauling and stacking wood from down the mountain with hubby. We'll be plenty stocked for next winter. OMG , the Columbines (state flower) are blooming in my yard and they are so beautiful. I'll have to snap some pics for my blog.

great pics Bonne...i love columbine.

Sharon, telling me not to work too hard is like telling me not to breathe. Today I did a few loads of laundry, packed up my husband, went to a soccer game, cleaned out 2 more beds that I had not gotten to yet. Then I hauled to more wheelbarrows of limestone and made a border on a bed that needs my help. Now I am making dinner. My sister's dog who is not in heat is attracting dogs from all over the world...my little dog is doing her best at running them all off, she is going to be exhausted by the end of the week. i just hope none of them are more agressive than she is. I cannot believe I am sitting here talking about social characteristics of slobbery bumbly beasty dogs...jeez..what have I done to myself..anyhow, while dinner is cooking I am off to haul one more wheelbarrow full of rocks!
