I had the fun of having Sharon (sleepless reader) stop by on her trip..with her adorable daughter who is my youngest daughter's age and has been a penpal to my girls for awhile now. They were traveling with another friend and her daughter....both homeschoolers...they will be on the road for a month! We were their first stop Monday night..it was SO fun to meet Sharon after "knowing her" here for a few years now! She was EXACTLY how I pictured her..just as sweet as can be and so fun to talk to.She even brought a jar of homemade apple pie filling that she canned..what fun!! After we got my kids off to school and did my animal chores (her daughter gathered the eggs) and saying goodbye to Mona for the day we went up north to the Provo area on Tuesday. We had about an hour at DI (big old thrift store that us Utah gals love and Sharon had only heard about) and then they were off further north and I went to my doctor appt. It was a wonderful day! My only regret is that I didn't get a single picture taken. Oops!! If any of you get a chance to meet a fellow farmgirl jump at that chance..I have met quite a few now and all of them have been just wonderful. I can hardly wait to hear how the rest of Sharon's trip goes!! And if any of you are out this way..do stop in!!

It sounds like you had a wonderful time! Isn't it great getting to know other farmgirls? It is like you get to skip the "getting to know you" stage that can sometimes be so uncomfortable. Each farmgirl I have met so far feels like an old friend right away!
Maybe I will get to come see you sometime Aunt Jenny! I keep telling my uncle in SLC that I want to come visit.
For sure Alee!! If you are as close as SLC we must get together..that is only 2 and 1/2 hours or so from here!! I would love to meet you and Nora too!!
