well there are theories abounding across the internet about a possible terrorist attack-but that it will be the US attacking the US. Recently there was a b52 bomber loaded iwth 5nuclear warheads that flew from Minot to Louisiana, and now Vladmir Putin has dissolved the Russian government, and there are talks of a number of mystery investors and billions of dollars in the stock market with interests set to expire on the 21st, there are no flights from the US to Israel this Friday, there was a recent troop surge into Washington DC, the air force is grounding all attack planes on Friday and Langley is grounding air fleets for a week....all sorts of things coming together to form one big theory about our safety as a nation.
I hate to introduce this theory here, but so many of you are current with the times, so I kinda figured why not.....

I guess I am out of the loop too. Is something big supposed to happen that day? Is the world ending for the 100th time? I have been so busy running around with the kids (showing pigs at the fair, football practices, etc.) that I have been really bad about keeping up on the news. Please fill us in, Tasha! Thanks!!

Hmmmmmm...isn't it strange nowdays? I don't really know what I think about the 14th. There's really a part of me that doesn't want to "buy into" what sound to me like conspiracy theories, and yet - WOW - as I look around the world, it sure does seem like anything - sensible or crazy - can happen. All-in-all, on this one, I think I'm staking a claim in the "wait and see" camp. Thanks, Tasha, for letting us know - all of those things you mentioned are so interesting and a little eerie, aren't they?

I had no clue anything was going on either. It sure seems like the world is getting more and more explosive and the littlest things could set it off. I guess it'll be what it'll be. It's hard to think that it could keep getting worse and there doesn't seem to be anything to do about it.

I did read about Putin and thought to myself, "hmmmmm." But only because I'd be very curious as to why he would disolve the russian governing body, and hire a man who has run a farm for the last 20 years to be prime minister....
I don't know about the rest of it--but it wouldn't surprise me if ANY investor pulled their money out of this market, millions or no!

Putins' new Prime Minister is former KGB just like he is and because the Prime Minister becomes the new president he has now hand picked his successor. I just say my prayers and leave all this to the lord.

On Sept. 14, flight lines will be very quiet at Air Combat Command bases.
The entire command — about 100,000 active-duty airmen — is standing down training flights and many other operations as part of a command-wide safety day.
Command boss Gen. Ronald Keys ordered the Sept. 14 safety stand-down in the wake of the Aug. 30 nuclear incident at Minot Air Force Base, N.D., in which six cruise missiles armed with nuclear warheads were loaded onto a B-52H and then flown to Barksdale Air Force Base, La., without anyone on the ground or bomber realizing the nuclear weapons were on the plane. It was not until the B-52H was parked at Barksdale that ground crews discovered the cruise missiles were carrying real warheads.
Command spokesman Maj. Tom Crosson said wing commanders would determine how their units review operations and safety procedures and checklists.
Just how serious Keys takes the lapse of regulations at Minot is reflected in the fact that the safety stand-down is the first command-wide safety day in recent memory. In the past, the command has singled out specific types of aircraft for safety days and in 1997 the Department of Defense held a department-wide safety review day.

the thing that is really truly crap about the "reason" they gave is before a plane takes off there is a walk around done to make sure everything is a-o-k with the plane before take off....ALSO, they don't just transport nuclear tipped cruise missles on the wings of fighter jets...ALSO, there is a chain of command. For the nukes to get on the plane there had to have been a series of command given. I 100% do not buy that no one was aware the nukes were on the plane.

found this..might explain the Israel thing:
Israeli airline El Al doesn't fly during the sabbath (from friday evening to saturday evening). And they don't fly during the important jewish holidays, such as Rosh Hasanah (this Friday 14 Sept) & Yom Kippor (22 Sept).

A conspiracy can be found in anything if you look hard enough. We have a close friend that is involved with aircraft ordinance and believe it or not occassionaly the wrong ones are loaded and not noticed. It happens and it is an accident.

Well, I just pray & leave it to the Lord. My family will be in downtown Chicago this weekend which many feel will be a possible next attack area & I surely pray all will be safe & sound. We can't stop living our lives & huddle in fear. We can speak with our ability to vote .

might have been, but for some reason the planes here were flying on and off all day long..so not every place was down then after all.They fly over my house all the time..and today was no exception.
(I live right across the bridge from a airforce base.I get to see the Blue Angel and Thunderbird shows for free :0) as they rumble right over top of my house and do their loops, etc right over the water which is 2 blocks away..right on the other side of the water is the flight line for the airbase..which is less than 2 miles away..but the entry gate to the base is 4 miles from my house.) So today it certainly sounded like "business as normal".
But anyhow... for some reason or other they weren't all down.:0)
