Wow Julie, you certainly have your hands full with teaching art! I only teach middle to highschool students (realistic drawing, watercolor, papermaking, printmaking and bookbinding) and only do it 2 days a week. I tried a class of k-3rd grade kids last year, but after the first month, one mom decided to send her child to public school and another mom decided that she overloaded her schedule, so I lost 3 of my 6 students and had to cancel the class (which turned out to be a blessing because, as I'm not a mom, it was a ton of work trying to figure out what types of things they are able to accomplish at that age). Maybe some day I'll tackle the younger kids again, but for now I love teaching my older kids. I admire you for teaching all age groups and teaching full time.... and I thought I was a busy woman! I look forward to seeing your creations too, and everyone else's. I loved the halloween swap, so many talented ladies here!!

OK, dilemma -
I have found ten of the cutest, most adorable thingees for this swap. I don't want to hint about them but they are better than anything I could make with my poor little hands.
Are we sticking to hard and fast rules about making the items completely by hand, or can we use items we (gasp) purchase, if they fit the rest of the requirements of the swap? If so, I'm almost ready to send my package!

I thought I would bump this up since October is just around the corner and the deadline for this is gonna sneak up on us!
Jo - I will leave that decision up to you. Sometimes part of the fun is seeing what other people craft and form with their hands. We are all at different talent levels and work with different media but that is part of the "mystery". I have had people send store bought things for swap before but they usually hand make a card or tag to go with it. It's totally up to you.
Which reminds me, TRY to label your items so everyone knows who they are from!
