On my way to the quickstop to get a cappucino Saturday morning before setting out for the farm, I passed a yardsale. But, of course, I didn't really PASS the yard sale. I came, I saw, I bought! LOL Two of the things I bought were new, beautiful cookbooks to giveaway. Here's the first:

It's full of neat recipes from ladies all over the country. So please sign up here through this coming Friday. I will draw a name Saturday morning and post the winner when I'm at dh's workplace feeding/playing with the crazy cockatoo. In fact, I think I'll print the names on cardboard, put them in a bowl, and see if I can get Angel(wrong name for this bird!) to draw for me! I'll try to take a photo of this neat trick! ROFLOL!

That's funny! When I was a kid, my mom always made this linguine salad for....you guessed it...funerals, because it fed the masses. I never liked it and named it Funeral Salad. My daddy would just laugh and laugh. Mom, not so much!

I had a survey guy call me today and one of the questions was-"How many cookbooks do you have?" I literally hauled my cookbook collection to the flea market last week. (I kept the essential 100 or so) My husband counted almost 500!! I am going to start doing this with them.
