I have been reading the Princess 'Mater blog. Oh my! She sure is having an adventure moving into her new "green" community! I hope it works out for her.

After hearing more about home owner's associations- I think I don't ever want to live in one!

I hope she tells us soon how the carpeters fixed the red carpeting issue! In one of her recent posts it seems like the wrong color got laid in her house! Yikes!

There ya go Teresa :)

I agree about the Home Owners Associations...I'm a nanny to a family that lives in a subdivision with one and I can't imagine living like that. My bosses aren't into doing too much major around their house but I can see myself wanting to do all sorts of things that wouldn't be allowed...lol

I lived in a new neighborhood for a year with a very strict homeowners association.
I got a little notice when I dug up my standard issue shrub and planted herbs and tomatoes in place of it. It had a great sprinkler system so that year my plants flourished. I even shared them with my snooty neighbors but it did not fit in with the "look" that they were trying to achieve sooooo. Out went my little garden.

Now, my little old farmhouse is not as near nice or big as my old one buy by golly, I can plant anything I darn well please and I can shoot my shotgun at targets and my children can run wild and yell and play like kids are supposed to do. Whoo wee whoo wee the country life is for me!
