I think I am going to have to get Nora a play laptop! She is already learning how to move the mouse around on my laptop and how to push keys! LOL She likes to sit in my lap in the "mommy chair" sitting in the hollow that my legs make when I cross them "indian style" and then she leans back on my belly! So she has easy access to the key board. Maybe she will learn to type before she learns to talk...oh my!

Isn't it so funny to watch them looking at the computer screen? She is picking things up so fast right now it really is amazing!

Our 3 yr old has had her own mouse for 2 yrs now and love it! She was always playing with ours so when we had one go bad at work I asked the IT guy if I could take it home for her. So we have the cord go back behind the computer so it looks like its hooked in. She still thinks that it is and loves to "tease" mommy by clicking and making things move on the screen. Kids are to cute sometimes!

it's is amazing that when i was in high school we used manual type writers and slide rules -- i became a computer specialist with a bachlor of science in computers but these kids coming up now will never know what it means to not have computers. i say get her a used real laptop and let her just learn away/

having a play one might be fun but I would seriously limit her time with the real one! she's not even a year yet right?

My warning be careful! lol I don't have a left shift key because of that! lol haha Lela pulled it off some how and we can't get it go to back on! I had it on there a little bit, and then my husband thought he could "fix" it and wouldn't listen to me to just leave it how I had it, and now it's not there at all cause he broke it even more! Grrrr. At least I had it working! Now it's completely gone, he lost the key and all it's peices! grrrrr

Heather-

You should be able to buy a replacement key from a computer supply store or even Wal-Mart.

This is a fun thread to read you gals, babies are so great. Being a grandmother I am highly prejuidiced...lol
I don't have the excuse of a baby, I am the one who did something wrong with the o key and can't get the darn thing on right again. The spring is way bent, but I can say I still have the key. lol
