Good morning, friends. Well, yesterday I had a little spare time and I treated myself to a trip to an Antiques market in a nearby town. Always on the search for vintage fabric finds, I found this adorable crib throw. It is light weight and perfect for when just a little more than a sheet is needed. Also....I am so eager to be a grandmother (no, no one is expecting...not even married yet) but it doesn't hurt to be ready, right? After looking this over, I think I might try to make a few myself. If I can just transfer some big pictures to embroider, should be quite easy....Coloring books are a good source for cute pics to copy. Well, anyways, I thought I would share this picture with you.....I just LOVE it!

Keep Smiling.....Bev

Sweet, sweet! I do the same thing- and none of my kids are married yet. I picked up an adorable double cradle in a yard sale for $25 and have it stored away for some future date. Hope the wood doesn't rot while I'm waiting!

Bev,
That is too cute, I know you could make up some like that. Use a nice piece of muslin for the middle to embroider on and then put a pretty border on. The ideas are endless, think of all the cute things you could put on it. If you someday have a grandaughter you can make one for her doll crib to match hers.

I still have the baby quilt that my grandmother made for my son. She embroidered blocks with pictures from a coloring book and then put them together in a quilt....one of a kind and a treasure for....forever.

What a great idea about using coloring books to embroider from! I am going to use that idea!
