Just I quilt FYI... ...I received my blocks yesterday!!!!They look nice. But three of them did no have names. I posted all on them on my blog. The one block I truly love is the tree with "Autumn Treasures.." verse. That is adorable. Who did that one???

The one with the saying around the edge and the tree and autumn leaves, that would be me, you girls inspired me in one of the threads when you were talking about doing the crayon blocks. I remembered this block, I just had to do it. Wanted to do the embroidery, but realized it was too much....lol Carol Sue

They look great together! Can't wait to see them all when they are put into a quilt. I think I am going to put a sashing between all of the blocks. I will get a color that blends with them all. |

Hey Kathy, it is really simple. You find a picture that you like, then you draw it on the fabric, I use archival ink pens, then you color. I color each part lighter, then take a hot iron on cotton setting, put down another piece of muslin over the top, or you can use 2 paper towels and set the iron on it, I count to 10 and then lift iron off. If the colors aren't dark enough, just go back over them with the crayon again and do proceedure again. Kids and adults alike can have lots of fun with this. I use Crayola crayons cause using the cheaper ones have not always turned out. Then you can embrodiery around all of it if you want to. Your choice. It is fun to do. Ya want a funny, guess who went to her mailbox, thinking maybe today, then realized as I was standing there, it was Columbus day.....lol Carol Sue

i peeked! they look so great. i love them.cannot wait for mine to get here. I sat down last week and cut mine out. I am so bizarre sometimes...I cut them out of fall material. I sewed up the first one, showed it to my husband and asked him how he liked my winter themed quilt square...he said to me...I thought you got snowmans to do that with...and what do turkeys have to do with winter...duh!! oh well..jump start on next year. |

I am so excited that they are getting to you guys now. I think they are really lovely and I was happy to see how they all look together. It was a pleasure doing this swap with you all. I will start to get caught up with my projects now that I think I am getting into a routine (I hope I am anyway) and I want to make that quilt with your blocks! |

Oh, Sunshine! I am so glad you got both sets. I realized after the email I sent that the postmaster said the weight was right for the postage, so it had to be right. Crazy how paranoid I can get over nothing:)
Pretty soon we will all have them. Too bad we can't get together to quilt side by side! |

Ok, so today my head feels like a sausage(godda code..sniff)but the mailman came & brightened my day w/a package full of the most beautiful blocks.
