As I look out at my brown lawn that's partially covered in snow I crave green! Now is a good time to plant some grass to enjoy inside. Wheatgrass is available in most natural food stores or even grocery stores in the bulk section. Fill any container with potting soil and completely cover the top with wheatgrass. You don't want any of the soil to show. Spray with water daily and you'll have a lush little lawn in about 7 - 10 days. Last year around this time Serena and I planted a little over 200 enamelware containers, buckets and planters for our Spring Farm Chick sale! I don't think we'll be doing that for awhile, but I do have a couple little pots growing to fulfill my daily requirement of green!
Added bonus: You can "mow the lawn" and add it to your favorite smoothie for some added nutrition.

Teri...you must live in Eastern Washington if your lawn is brown. I live in Western Washington
and ours are always Green. Much more rain over here! Too much sometimes...but it does make for beautiful nature eye-candy! LOL

Teri, I just looked at your blog. It is so pretty and very interesting. I will have to get CL now. I am going to make your Mintade too. And the rhubarb recipe looks so good. I have to get some rhubarb now and make it.

I hope you are greening up in Wash. now. Have a great spring!

Kris
