I do these "mystery quilts" at my friend's quilt shop every other month. We pick fabrics that represent different countries and we make blocks without knowing what they will look like until we are done. Then we don't know how the entire quilt will look until we leave the class. It's always fun. This one is Mexico. The little one is from a swap from MJF!

This is my version of Grandmother's flower garden. I did not do this in a class though.

China! Have never been there, but want to. Oh, those are two of my "girls" on the previous post. Millie is the Yellow and Penny (we call her Penny the Punisher!) is the black one! She is a good girl, but her energy level is amazing sometimes!

Thanks Carol Sue! I love to make tops! Quilting them...?? Not so much. I machine quilt, but I would rather make the tops and that's good enough until I need to give one away, then I will quilt the one they want.

I am getting carried away with this camera though! I have so many quilt tops in my attic it is not funny! :) These are my most recent ones though. Thanks for looking at them. Glad you liked the colors. I love color. Especially in the winter when everything is all gray and white an brown, working on colorful quilts makes my eyes and brain happy.

I plan to quilt them eventually I think. This is a good collection for when my kids marry, have kids, etc. then I am ready! LOL Otherwise, someday when I am dead and my poor kids have to clean out my house, they will curse me and know where all the money for their inheritance went.

Sheryl-lyn,
So beautiful! I just love the log cabin and the grandmothers flower garden. They are all beautiful though. They will make great gifts to pass down when you get them quilted. My mil has done a quilt for each of her children and most of her grandchildren. She now has two great grand children but lots of time yet to do some more.

Sheryl-lyn, Nothing says we actually have to FINISH a quilt! I like to think that there will be someone in the future that will LOVE to complete some of my quilt tops!

I'll go along with that thought Cindy Lee!

Denise: I still have to put the border on the log cabin, and the grandmother's flower garden is one I have wanted to make forever, so I will finish that one and keep it. I did not want to do a million of the flowers though and attach them all. Wanted each one to stand on its own.

Sunshine: The black and white one was a color choice I thought would be interesting since I never go that bold and I really like it too. Even my husband likes that one and he thought he wouldn't.

Great looking tops and love the Labs too. My yellow girl, Babe, is getting old and crippled and I love her so much. Always wanted a Lab and she's my first.

Thanks for the good thoughts and words, you are such good friends!! A quilt top can take me anywhere from a few days to a few months depending on what's going on in my life or how many other projects I have tackled! Often I have a bunch going at one time, so when I get bored with one, I just move on. I have another dog who is REALLY old (Chubby) and she will be in the next pictures since she is my little follower who cannot stand for me to be out of her sight. She was next to me during the other pictures and since I fear this is her last summer on this earth with us :( I will show her off with her bad haircut that I gave her a few weeks ago.
