The dr.'s have my mom on the Dean Ornish Reversal diet. I have been trying to learn more about it and I've been on it myself the past week. Dad informed me and my sister and brother that heredity plays a largest factor in this disease, (heart disease, blockages, ect.) So with his firm but loving way  He has asked us to take care of ourselves and try to eat healthier. My mom is a small woman, so it's not like she ate a lot of fat. We have all actually ate fairly healthy over the years, it's just in her genes. The dr. had a lot of great stuff to say about this diet. I like it because I love fruits and veggies, and there's no counting calories. I was just wanting to know if any of you ladies or your hubbies have been on this diet, and how you did with it. Thanks so much.

Got his book when it first came out a few years back, but didn't finish reading it tho. Did see on one of the a.m. TV shows a review of the book/diet and the nutrishenist gave it praises. That's why I bought the book. I could just graze all day on fruits and veggies and forget the meat,etc. Will have to see if I can find my copy now! Good luck with it and keep us posted on how well everyone id doing.

Alee, Run a search on Dean Ornish Reversal and Prevention diet. Thats how I found some info, the dr.s have mom on this diet now, since they said her blockages were too bad to risk surgery. So, I'm praying this helps her.
