Well, not an actual try-out but they are considering leasing her but I would have to leave her where she is, which is a good 45 miles from my home. The lady has to run the leasing idea by her daughter who doesn't have time for her.

The mare seems to be very well trained and had some very nice moves but is barn sour and we had a couple of discussions.

We'll see how it all works out!!

Also, I looked at a cowabunga paint filly who is strikingly marked but she's a yearling and that's just what I don't need but what a looker and built to boot!

Welp, I'm a gelding person but can live with a mare if I have to and I get the good gut feeling about them. Yep, she's tubby alright but nothing has been done with her since last summer. I like her attitude but she's a bit too laid back for my tastes as she seemed like she'd rather argue with me about doing something rather than just do it and quit wasting time. But I think after a few rides, she'd be back to snuff pretty quick!!

I wished I had a pick of the Paint filly. Maybe I can get that next time I'm home.

I really like her too though..
& I like the big old fat girls!! She must be pretty content!

Well, the search is always there too..
Just keep your eyes peeled..
a good thing with the leased one is that you can actually get to try her out to see if she is what you really want. And the fact that your on the road.. & she stays at home with the owner may be another advantage right now too.. So there are some really good pluses with this one!

She's still pink! And still not an appy...

What did you ever decide about her, Winona?

Don't know why she is pink! Must be a cell phone thingy. I called the lady a couple of days ago and she didn't seem very receptive. So I didn't push it. The lady has fibro and must have been hurting cuz she was sort of the opposite of how she was when we rode. I didn't get a warm and fuzzy feeling at all so I guess this one is a no go. However, I'll keep everyone informed!!

Winona-

I know your perfect horse is out there! If she isn't it, I know you will find him or her soon! She was a beautiful mare though!
