Awesome poem!
I'm scurrying to get my swap items done for the Mabon/Samhain Swap on a soap forum,
and since I'm the hostess I need to get all these boxes arriving sorted out too.
Then there's the pile of mini's cut out that are begging to be sewn.
Oh, I'm sooo stressed.....yeah, right. I remember when I worked as an accountant years ago, I'd
look out the window and just wish i could be outside instead of being chained to a desk. What a bunch of wasted years! I guess I needed to experience that drudgery so that I could appreciate putzing around the house more. ;)

Of course, I go to finish stitching the bags for my other swap and the machine is jamming.
Take apart, adjust, take apart, finally get it going well again and now I don't feel like sewing! LOL
We have a month to get these in? I'm not usually a procrastinator, but the garden is yelling at me to get busy and preserve. **sigh**
My son called an said the power was out at his place. I started bragging on my new treadle that doesn't need power, and our new old woodburning stove we found at the antique mall that I could cook on and heat the house in case of a winter power outage. I'm regressing but it's nice to have survival skills just in case~so many people are "deer in the headlights" when they lose power. "oh, gawd........no TV...how will I be entertained?!" at least I'd keep busy~LOL

Guess what? I have sewn 17 or maybe 18 today......... is that enough? All I have to do is sew some buttons on, I told my daughter she IS helping me with that. I found some binding my Mom had given me and I saw it was dated 1981.... that is old as far as binding goes. But the browns and yellows were perfect. SO anyway, I am almost done. When are they due exactly?

I thought the due date was 9/30.
Please say that it is, as I haven't sewn a single one!!

I went back and searched just now and found this:
Deadline to be IN TO ME!!! At My Address!!!
Will be September 15th..
That's Nearly an entire Month away!!
And gives us ALL time to get them in..
& time to allow me to get them to you to decorate your Abode!!
.................
I am guessing thats so they are to their new homes in time for decorating. I think I read the deadline to sign up was the 3oth.

Well I think the 30th would be better. I am up against a wall right now with my mom. She is in surgery as I type this. I waited all day for a call telling me what time TOMORROW her surgery would be only to find out they were doing it at 6:45 tonight. I cant really think about aprons right now. I dont know what the next weeks will bring. So I suppose I should have followed my first instinct and not joined. I just cannot promise to be done by the 15th...but I will do my very VERY best.

Well, I just got done with buttons, my hands are killing me............... no help. She pretty much watched me do it. But I won't complain. I just really had to pick a time to get it done when nothing was going on. I almost had myself talked out of doing it.But I told myself, just get it done in one day before some kind of something comes up around here like it always does and you don't have time. My house looks like a bomb went off in it!! And my husband comes home in 2 days. So much for child labor! My kids will just sit there and look at my like I am a nut!! Well, I am going to be days before even thinking about getting them ready to mail but I have awhile.
Susan, the last thing you need to worry about is aprons. Don't worry about it. I can help if you need me :o) Call me when you find something out about Mrs.Nonny.

I go back to work in one week! It has been the best summer ever. I will surely miss my house and my dogs (who are always pressuring me to go play at the river!) My family likes it when I am home since the house stays clean and dinner is always cooking when they all come home.

A friend from work killed herself on Sunday night so that makes it much harder to go back. It is just so shocking and sad and everyone is reeling from it at this point. No one knows what to do or say about it all. Going back will be so hard.
