ROFL Katmom you are so funny.
yeah I got my fall quilt squares done so I can work on my minis, I was so excited, walked over to deliver a message to a gal and got STUNG on my foot by a **** yellowjacket. I am allergic, so home for ice, baking soda and benadryl. I was so mad, take the benadryl, sleep, couldn't sew and I was really looking forward to getting started. Now I am awake after midnight cause I slept for 4 hours, foot still swollen and looking longingly at the orange fabric. Tomorrow is another day, want to sew on those babies, okay, maybe I should cut them out first.

Really I cant. Every moment of my day is full at this time. Between soap business, starting back to school, life in general and my dear mom, I just cannot be dependable for anything else. Y'all have fun and post pictures.

I'm like that with quilts..
i am REALLY.. i mean... REALLY Obssessed with Quilts!!
& I DON"T care what shape they are in!
i will get any dumb Quilt i come across.. i'm an idiot for them!!
I have them HANGING Up EVERYWHERE in My HOUSE .
& In EVERY SINGLE Room!!!!!!
& FOLDED Everywhere!!

BUT!
I do actually MAKE things with the ones that are just in SUCH horribly..unrecognizable shape.. .. Eventualy..
like.. Dolls.. or pillows.. or what ever..
But dang it.. That VERY FIRST CUT!! Just ABSOLUTLEY Is The HARDEST thing in the world for me!!!
Once i do.. I'm good to go..
Until that first cut though... that quilt can sit there.. FOREVER!!!

LOL,
I think the cutting of the fabric goes with the disease of fabric holics anoynomous. I am sure it is in the rules somewhere. I don't have a problem cutting it when I finally figure out what I want to do. I obesses with I hope I bought enough of this. I normally do but on the second quilt I made I didn't and had to hunt like a crazy woman for the fabric. Now I am much wiser, at least I sure hope so, lol
I love that you are crazy about quilts Kathie!!!
Jess, yep cutting into it.....hard stuff...
Night ladeis....

Hi, all you sociable farmgirls. I feel like I dropped in on a luncheon or tea party and have been brought right up to date with hugs and news.

I've missed you all. It's been crazy here. School starts Monday, dd has been at band practice for these two weeks previous, and I finally got in to a doctor and now start the run for tests. And, since I live rural, everything is at least an hour away. The joys of living in the country outweigh the cons though.

So, I will have to pass on the Halloween minis as I have a sneaky suspicion I may be laid up in mid Sept, and I am on a race to finish Pirates of the Carribean costumes for 11 bandfront girls as well as the quilt blocks for the swap.

However, I will repeatedly check in as who can't use a bit of humor and affection in life and will wait for the Christmas mini apron swap.

I love the pirate doll! Thanks for posting it for us!
My morning coffee includes all you gals now.

I am working on my mini aprons... I think I may have to make a full size one before the holiday is over...because I want to wear one! My joys in life now are my son, Danny (age 7) and yoyos and aprons.....the order of priority changes by the minute...LOL

Hey, I love the doll!
I am not sure if I will be able to do the Halloween swap but I am wanting to do the Christmas swap if nothing comes up between now and then. I do my Christmas tree in gingerbread and red gingham and I really think mini aprons would be cute attached to it using mini clothes pins. Last year my husband got a rotator for the tree and I just cannot get past how cute those little aprons would look on it.

Aargh, Matey! That's one cute scurvy doll there!
Just a quick pop-in to tell you that the tiny aprons came today. They are absolutely adorable. And mine are just way too big. :(
Back to work for me. This taking Mom and Dad to their respective doctor appointments is wearing me out.
