Hi Gals!

Just wanted to give you an update on Missy. Her surgery was this morning and everything went great. Thank God they did not have to do a major incision so she will be able to come home this evening. Her doctor said that the cyst on her ovary that burst had caused adhesions which attached themselves to her ovary, appendix, and part of her intestine. They removed the adhesions and everything is ok. She should be feeling much better by this time next week.

Thank you all so much for your prayers and encouragement. I know that it has meant the world to Missy and to me.

Hugs,
Kay

Thanks, Kay. I'm so glad they were able to take care of things without much repair in there.

Missy made a valiant effort to try and check her email today but it hurt too much to sit up. She is not feeling very well today but the 2nd day is usually the hardest. I stopped by after work and made a big pot of chicken and noodles so that Todd wouldn't have to try and cook for them. I told her about all the well wishes and prayers that people have been sending. It really made her smile. I'm sure if she's able she'll be on her tomorrow.

Hi girls!! Today is a better day. I think the "day after" is always the hardest. The pain meds are making me nauseated, so it's hard to eat and my husband doesn't cook. I don't think I could look at another saltine cracker right now! haha. Thanks so much for all the prayers and well wishes. It makes the recovery all that much easier to deal with.

Finally got some sleep last night and my hair washed today and got cleaned up. It's amazing how much better you feel after just getting cleaned up and brushing your teeth.

I'm so thankful that I was able to get through with just the smaller incisions. Apparently the organs on the right side of my pelvic area were all bound together with scar tissue from the cyst and then attached to the back of my uterus. Everything is where it should be now and then and I should begin to feel better each day.

Well I think I'm at my limit at the computer for now, but just wanted to check in. It's nice to feel connected to everyone. My older son Justin went to powell's in Portland yesterday and called to see if I wanted anything. WEll, of course I requested MaryJanes Stitching book and he even brought it to me last night. I'll be looking forward to projects when I'm feeling better. Justin is coming to make me lunch today(he's a cook in a resteraunt) yeah, real food! haha

Love and Blessings,

Missy

Missy,
So glad you're starting to feel a little better. Just take it easy and have fun relaxing and reading your new stitching book.
