Hi I am Carol Sue and a farm girl wannabe. I live in a mobile home park that thankfully has a yard. If I couldn't play in the dirt I would be in so much trouble!!!!!!!!!!! My flower garden in the front has herbs and 2 blueberry bushes, rhubarb and yes, some flowers. You get pretty ingenious in small spaces. I have tomatoes in 2 oak half barrels I just painted purple with lime green, fushia, and light blue polko dots. Can't help myself. Love to quilt, have the fabricoholic disease. WAs introduced to y'all because of the quilt group I am in. She brought the Artistry in Aprons. Love at first site. Look forward to reading more on the forums. Thanks for being here and for the encouragement you all give each other. Makes me smile. Carol Sue

Hi Carol Sue! Welcome to the forums! I am sure you will love it here! There are a lot of us here that are fabric-a-holics and apron-a-holics! We work on a reverse support system. We suppor the buying of fabrics and making of aprons! ;)

HI Carol Sue. Welcome to the club! I remember our first home we lived in a mobile home park and you know, I miss that little garden! Everything was so close and because of the limited space, each plant seemed to have a bigger impact! You have some 'popular' hobbies and will have no problem connecting with the gals here! Angie.

Ladies, You are the bomb! as my niece would say. That adventure in oak planters turned out quite interesting. Had the grandbabies come down and use their hand prints all over the polka dots. K bugs was so excited that she gave grandma some art. Are you sure fabraholics is a disease or a club? I am voting for a club.

| Hi CarolSue!!! Nice to meet you!!! I always get a bit of a jolt, seeing somebody (online, of course) from Spokane. That's where my mom was born & raised, and though I've only been there a few times (that I really recall, though I know I spent a good bit of time as a toddler), it seems like such a nice little town. River Front Park on the 4th of July has got to be the best place & time to be in Spokane. |

Hi Kati, I have to agree, River Front Park on the 4th is crazy and fun. I love the fireworks. I use to live on the other side of the state where you could lite off your own. Took a little bit of getting used to not doing it here. Been here for almosts 8 years. All my husband's family was here. We moved back to spend time with his Dad and Mom whose health was failing. Those were precious months to us that we were glad that we had. His dad passed 5 months after we moved home. His mom 2 years later. They were my folks as well. I miss them and am very grateful for all they did. Because of his parents, I learned how to quilt. Both my mother-in-love and my father-in-love quilted. She put them together and he hand quilted them. He did amazing hand quilting. I don't even come close. I love living here, you have a great evening. Carol Sue

Carol Sue, Welcome!! I love the sound of your oak half barrels...they made me smile, sounds like such a happy paint job! You will find many of us here are just farmgals where we are, which is not always on a farm (well maybe a funny farm !) but we are all farm girls at heart! I look forward to hearing more about your garden patches and fabric creations! Hugz! Talitha
