after finally figuring out what this "RAOK" thing is all about, and finding out that i would have to wait until the end of summer to join the fun... i decided to start a new list.
if you are interested in joining Shu2's summer RAOK list, send me an email with your name, mailing address, phone # and interests/hobbies... also include your website addy if you have one and perhaps someone can gleen little known info about what you like from there that you might not think of including in your email. we will leave the sign up open until we get a good number of gals (and guys, if that be the case) and then we'll get started! my email addy is alishushu@yahoo.com please be sure and put RAOK List as your subject line!

Alison, you have a great website started. I spent quite a while on your partner's photo journal/website....breathtaking beauty in her eyes and observations! The music festival sounded fun.
Used to live in NC...Winston-Salem/Kernersville area. It is a beautiful state.

Stephanie,
RAOK stands for random acts of kindness. Usually we will send a little gift or maybe card to let someone know we are thinking of them. Just some little act of kindness to whomever you would like to send to. Some of the lists are large and so no one is obligated to send to everyone on the list.
Hope this clears it up for you. Oh and we let each other know likes and dislikes and hobbies so we know what would be interesting to the one we are sending to.

Thanks for the info..I found the other discussion for the current RAOK that is going on righ now and figured out what it was about. I've already signed up and provided my list to the RAOK listmom. I sure hope more will sign up for this new one!
Come on New Farmgirls...let's all join in on this new RAOK and get it going!

if she sent me an email today, then i haven't gotten to it... i'm at work right now and have an appointment this afternoon, but i will update the list tonight and close it down. hopefully i will be able to compile all the data and send it out to everyone tonight before i go to bed... please ask her to send me an email with all her info if she hasn't already done so... we're right around 11 or 12 now...
