The past few weeks my daughter Shannon has been having some extremely hurtful problems where she and her daughter (my grand) Kylee have been living. And last weekend it all came to a head. Even though Shannon's Dad cannot speak he indicated he wanted them to come home and so they did. I am glad because they couldn't stay there any longer. We have a small house but there are 2 bedrooms and a bath upstairs-not being used-just for them.
So not only do we inherit two human but 3 horses, 2 dogs and 2 cats and an enormous ammount of clothing and other things people acquire. Now all piled in the front room.
Kylee will finish school in the school she has been attending. I suppose I am elected to drive her it is only about 40 miles away and that is about as far as Shannon works. Right now she is sporting a broken arm and a black eye. . She's a trouper though.
I guess our children will always be our children even when they think they are all grown up.
This will be good for me too--Shannon can help me take care of her father and Kylee and I can just play outside forever. lol. MB

My goodness Mary beth, I wish I could come help you. I could at least clean up the front room.
Did you already move the animals? Do you have room for them? Well I guess the good side is you will have help and they will have help, and yes once a Mom always a Mom.

Mary Beth-- remind your daughter to stay strong and do what's best for herself and her daughter. I can only imagine that's she's going through a rough time emotionally (in addition to physically). It's good that you are there for her and giving her the room and support she needs for a fresh start in a healthier environment.

Mary Beth- I am sure that Shannon and Kylee are so relieved to have a safe place to go where they can be nurtured and loved. I'm so glad that she was able to get out of that horrendous situation. You are such a good mom. :)

You have each Other Mary Beth.. & this is what is going to make it all ok at the end of the day....
The rough times.. & tight living quarters will all be small blessing really when you look back on it..
Especially when you think of how lucky you are that the broken arm.. & black eye.. & some emotional bruising.. were all that happened..
Just hold on to each other..
& know we love you all very much, & are thinking of you everyday..

oh Mary Beth..I'm so very sorry that your daughter had to go through that. Please do encourage her to get a restraining order. And also please encourage her and her daughter to take self defense classes, classes that will teach her to really protect herself if ever she is attacked again. I wish for your daughter and grand daughter a speedy recovery both physically and with the emotional scars that come with this sort of thing. The best to you all. hugs.

MaryBeth...what a horrible situation your daughter and granddaughter were going through! The best thing was to get out of that and move into the loving home that you provide. Even though it a little cramped right now, it's the best thing! Everyone stay safe and my thoughts are with you. Take care!

Mary Beth, I am so glad that your daughter and grand daughter have you in their lives. From being in a bad situation, I can tell you that if you tell her what to do, she may back down. She will need to take steps her own way, and she has made the biggest by coming to you. Just hug her every chance you get, and tell her you love her.
My prayers are with all of you.

I am so sorry for what your daughter and grand daughter have went through. Hopefully through this rain they will both grow. I pray that your daughter will see that she deserves far better and will not allow herself to mistreated in the future. It is so wonderful that you can be her safety net.

I hope my kids always know I will be there for them and that they are never too old to come home.

Hugs and blessings!

So sorry to hear about all the troubles. Things will get better. They always do. But I agree with Tina Michelle. Have your daughter file a restraining or protection order for herself and her daughter. I realize it's only a piece of paper but law enforcement tends to respond MUCH faster if an order is on file.

Much love and prayers for you all.

I hope your daughter and granddaughter are recovering a bit. I have to chime in and say a restraining order and a police report (if not already done) can really help should things get bad again.

Hugs
