i got the most wonderful book on making jewelry from antique buttons and beads! our boat docked at St. Francisville, Mississippi ... and i chose to WALK .. ALL UPHILL .. about two miles (each way!) great exercise! and i discovered a darling shoppe called:

Grandmother's Buttons ... i think you can search for it on the 'web' .. and i got the owner's BOOK and a beautiful patchwork quilt bag to carry my book in with Grandmother's Buttons on the front of it.

do look for it on line if you like to make jewelry. xo

I heard about it I think though a book club, but I hardly EVER buy books, especially if I haven't seen it first. Maybe it's not the same one but I thought jewelry from buttons would be great!

Thanks for sharing! Cindy

i like to see books first too .. but mostly because i have sooooo many .. that i don't want to duplicate .. and sometimes the 'cover' is a lot nicer than what is inside. i've seen great primitive covers and everything inside was 'country cute'.
