I just got the best catalog! I don't know how they found me - maybe it's because I get every catalog published and word spread. Anyway, you've got to see it! It's got 200,000 practical country items in stock like great old time toys, beauty and health products, old type candy, fabu kitchen stuff, ironware, fabric, everything! At very reasonable prices!

The hone number is toll free 888-6654989 and the website is www.JacksCountryStore.com.

I'd be interested in knowing what you gals think.

Farmgirl hug,
Patricia

Patricia -- I just checked where this store is. It's on the Washington coast about an hour and a half from here. I think I can see a road trip in our near future!!

I have been to this store. When DH and I were building our cabin, we were looking for a thing a majig that goes on top of your chimney to turn in the wind. None of the big chimney supply places had one but there was a guy that makes them at home and sells them at Jacks. We also bought a kerosene lamp and some other non electric stuff from them. I guess it's kind of modeled after Lehman's - the guy who waited on us told us the owners were friends of Lehman's, but they don't have the big items like the wood burning kitchen stoves. Still pretty neat place though - you should go if you have a chance and live close enough.

The store is wonderful- we like to stay down the way from it at a place called Shakti Cove every year or so... little cottages tucked behind the dunes;) I would highly recommend staying there if you go- they are rustic with full kitchens, pets are welcome and it is a very special place- we usually rent out half the cabins (there are ten) and have family and friends come- it is a ten minute walk to the beach through the woods...As far as Jack's goes I love their wooden ladles- my hubby put ours in the dishwasher several times and cracked it so I am ordering another- thanks for reminding me about it!

Wow! Thanks for the tip, Patricia. Such Good Stuff!

And who knew you could go online to purchase a "razor clam license?"
