I got a kick out of these pictures when my sister sent them to me! There's been a pair of goldfinches hanging around my parents' house and the female sits by the window or the back door and pecks like she wants to come in! She doesn't seem to mind the cats and I'm sure they go crazy watching her! Enjoy!
OH MY GOODNESS..HOW ADORABLE. I THINK BIRDS ARE SO ENTERTAINING TO WATCH...I LOVE TO SIT ON MY FRONT PORCH AND WATCH THEM....THEY ARE SO BUSY AND INTERESTING. GREAT PICTURES ...THANK YOU FOR SHARING THEM.
Goldfinches are so pretty. By the time they turn yellow here in Florida, they are about to leave us for northern climates. I have never seen one do this! How hilarious!
Today after a huge hail and rain storm I was amazed to see about twelve or so of those same type of birds on my front porch. They were taking turns trying to get something out of the hummingbird feeders. Mind you - only six feet away is a great birdfeeder with loads of goodies just for my feather friends, but no - they where spilling all the necture that I made for my little hummers. In all my excitement because I had never seen this type of bird before around here I ran to get my camera. As I quitely tried to open the door I about broke the camera and my nose. The door had jammed because of all the rain and as I pulled and the door did not give way - gracefull grace went into the door. Guess what - I scared the birds with all my pulling and off they went. I know you are wondering "Is the camera O.K."? Thanks for thinking about me first!!!
I too love the birds but I guess I will need a bigger brain in order to get a picture of these sweet twetties.
