gosh now that i am looking at it like this...i did an awful job of lining up patterns on the print!! jeez...i know to do this...duh!!?!!
Well, my husband just announced he thinks he should take off the afternoon and monday and we should all go to Louisville for the weekend...hmmm...i guess maybe i should get to packing.
YO yo s for the car and some embroidery for an apron pocket I am working on...
and a tea towel or two for our Italian cousins who are coming over to the US in about 5 weeks time!!
Hope you all have a good weekend...I may check in from the hotel if my husband brings his laptop!! |

Love the skulls! So what personality does this bring out?
Definitely a Bee themed swap.
I also think we should all make a special 2008 Bee Haven Farm apron to wear, and one to swap!

Love the apron Jess!! And the skull on the pocket is great!!
Sounds like the summer Camporee is going to be a reality. Mima your hubby sounds so nice to do that for you!!
It is only a four hour drive from where I live, but it takes me just west of DC which may add on 4 hours if I time the trip wrong....yikes!!
Sure wish I had a skill to demo, but alas, nobody wants to learn to give injections or take blood pressures! Hmmm, I could do health screenings for everyone, BP, blood sugar, blah, blah, blah.....or could bring lots of tea and china teapots and my vintage cup and saucers and we could set up a tea and scones tent!! Complete with hats and boas and extra aprons.
Hmmmm....how does the tea tent sound?? A portable tea room?

georgann you have plenty of skils for us to learn from you...you have inspired like every person on this whole forum...even the goddess at the actual farm!!!

awesome aprons BTW...that pink and skull fabric sure is something...dont expect to see skulls and pink...haha

alexander henry has some great skull prints...and the pink one sang to me!!
and tell your momma to leave the littlies and it will be a great get away for both of you..like a mother daughter thing just before you leave the nest kind of adventure!!
certainly he can handle a coupla kiddos for a few days!

hey there gals! I'm working on him(my hubby) he's a cool guy..so we'll see how/if we can swing this...all depends on the business..we just went full time last week with it...Naomi has been telling me about the get together..and yes..I'm a cool gal too.:0P Would love to join you all. I'll have to find out more on flights to the area and car rental in the area...etc...and see if I/we can swing it.

i love those two Aprons.. i always like the Cherries..
Who would have dreamed we'd keep seeing SO many different Cheery varieties?? i love it!! But that one with the deep blue.. or Purple is so adorable! i love how the neckline is a different choice of color.. But Those Pockets!! Too Sweet! I REALLY just love Yo Yo's! & I've seen them on things.. maybe even as a flower here & there too i think.. But they are So fitting on the Apron pockets!! i love that one!!
You always come up with such a vast variet of fabrics & choices.. I could watch all day the Aprons everyone comes up with & the details on the Bias tap!! !!
Woman,.. Do you have ANY idea how AWFIL mine would look up close like that?/ i would dare show a close up!! Paul Bunyan!! fifty million back stitches & redoing over & over!!

That Pink Skull Apron.. MINE!! that Jessie poo made me..
That isn't two different Apron's guys..
The Pink & Skulls is on ONE SIDE
AND then..
The light blue with the Pink Apple Blossems is on the other side!!
SHE made a reversable Apron.. & She did SUCH a beautiful job!!
REVERSABLE.. It's perfect! I LOVE THIS APRON!!

Do you have any idea what an apron I made would look like if i attempted a reversable Apron? jeez!! i'd be lucky if i didn't screw it up..& get the Wrong sides together.. or the top with the bottom!!

oh Crap.. i was going to say something about Swap ideas for the
2008 East Coast Farm Girl Camporee!
Who said pot Holders?
Dang.. sorry.. i can't remember..
Anyway.. remember on another post.. i had said something about doing a pot holder swap.. because a frind of mine had brought me back the coolest Pot holder from her vacation.
It was the pocket of a pair of Jeans!! (on one side..) BUT.. the other side was the fabric of flag of the State of Texas ( her vacation destination..) We could do something like THIS.. & use some fabric from OUR own States.. & even if more then one or two of us come from the same state.. Chances are.. we wouldn't use the same fabric! i mean.. it could be anything really.. i could pick.. say palm trees.. pink flamingos.. or even a sports team.. you know? local stuff.. so.. jeans pocket on one side.. Some fabric from our Home State on the other..
What do you think of this one?
